Someone Left the Cake Out in the Rain
 As I write this, hundreds, if not thousands, of U.S. citizens are voicing their displeasure about conditions-mostly economic-by "occupying" Wall Street and other iconic sites. This action appears to be a manifestation of a growing frustration with how things have changed since the economic meltdown of 2008. I'm expecting that the anger toward Wall Street will soon spread-to banks, businesses, the paperboy, and the Edward Jones rep. But who's really responsible for our misery? We are. (Read more)....

Taking the High Road
 My client Lawrence said something interesting the other day. I was talking to him about the tendency we have to operate from our Knower/Judgers because it's easier and safer, and usually takes care of our immediate emotional needs. "Yes," said Lawrence, "But that's not taking the high road." Now, I had never thought of being in the Learner/Researcher as taking the high road. And I also knew that "Thou shalt take the high road" is just another K/J rule. But in a way, Lawrence is right. (Read more).....

How does Rally co-driving prepare you for improving performance in teams and executives?
|
I am a Rally Co-driver in several series in the Western
Hemisphere. You can read
about my racing history at my rally website. When I am competing, it is my job to corral all the best performances
from myself, the driver, the mechanics and any other members of the crew
supporting us for the weekend. As you
can imagine, as in any racing, egos are strong, tensions are high, and the
atmosphere is ripe for interpersonal conflict.
I have a track record of co-driving for racers of any caliber
(National Champions to first event novices) and delivering results that exceed
their expectations.
For the rest of my living, I coach executives in leadership and team dynamics; teams in developing higher levels of trust,
understanding and camaraderie; and individuals in making changes supportive of
getting what they want in life. In this arena too, I
have a reputation for delivering results that exceed their expectations.
HDClarity
is an e-zine for those wanting to develop more of that trust,
understanding and camaraderie in their work environment, and their life
in general. A smoother running team is a more profitable team. It get
things done faster, for less cost.
