- In August, Shavei sponsored 22 young Polish "Hidden Jews" to learn in Israel for our fourth annual Polish-language seminar. The participants toured the country; attended classes and lectures on Hebrew, Jewish history, tradition and culture; and met with a variety of Israeli personalities and dignitaries. They even spent a Shabbat on kibbutz. We also profile 32-year-old Daniela Malec from Warsaw who has fulfilled her dream by immigrating to Israel.

- Meet Dr. Aaron Abraham who left his native India to move to Israel with his family after the tragic terrorist attack in Mumbai that killed Rabbi Gabriel Holtzberg and his wife Rivki.
