Shavei Israel's 2012 seminar for young Polish Jews concluded last week. The seminar was packed with classes, field trips and opportunities to reconnect with Judaism and learn more about both historic and modern Israel. Bnei Menashe making aliyah from India: Meet Avraham Haokip

Avraham Haokip and family

Avraham and his wife Esther live in Manipur, India, with their two boys. Avraham works as an Assistant Computer Operator in Imphal's Information Service Television (ISTV).

During 2009, Avraham participated in Shavei Israel's Bnei Menashe Leadership Seminar. He then took an active role in leading religious activities and social community programs for the Bnei Menashe.

Avraham and his family are poised to make aliyah to Israel with Shavei Israel's help. Click here to read their story.
