A Subbotnik Jewish wedding in Moscow

As they stood under the wedding canopy in the Archipova synagogue in Moscow, Fania and Shmuel Bograshov were fulfilling a dream they have cherished for years. It's not the first time they've been married. But it is their first time in a traditional Jewish wedding ceremony. And the emotional chuppah took place on the very same day that Fania and Shmuel formally returned to Judaism.

Homecoming for a Lost Tribe of Israel

On October 24, the Israeli government passed an historic decision, one that paves the way for the return of a Lost Tribe of Israel to Zion.

Resolution 5180, which received unanimous ministerial approval, will allow 275 members of the Bnei Menashe community of northeastern India to make aliyah.

Coming at a time of increasing uncertainty for the Jewish state, this momentous development should infuse us all with some much-needed optimism regarding the future.
