I love helping people transition to a healthier diet with the least amount of effort and biggest results.

It may not be food alone but food in conjunction with understanding your digestion and stress levels that will finally get your body to work for you.

I have a step by step program that will get you clarity as to what foods your body needs and processes to reduce stress so you look and feel your best.

I can teach you what to eat & how to easily  prepare delicious & nutritious foods so you are inspired to nourish yourself.

My system is based on whole foods nutrition with delicious satisfying food- not deprivation. I provide individual and group coaching and programs to help people achieve their own personal wellness goals

Home at last

Sandy has been a problem,  but I was able to come back to my house a few days ago, once they turned the electricity on.  Yeah!  Still no gas for the stove or for heat but we do have a wood stove, thank goodness.  I am cooking on a hot plate.  This is a great lesson in flexibility.  I am eating mostly salads and soups, which I love, so all is well.  My blessing go out to those who are still struggling.

The Nourishing Foods Fall Cleanse  was great! We had people  from all over the world cleansing their small intestine.  Here is what one of the fabulous cleansers says:

"This is my 3rd cleanse with Ingrid and they just keep getting better! Since the liver cleanse in June, I have adopted a daily juicing ritual with mostly green juices (Mmmmm) and was completely raw over the summer. Now that the weather has turned, my body tells me it would prefer some warm food now and then. Yes, I have learned to listen to my body! My habits have radically changed for the better but now and then, I need a little push in the right direction again and this is where Ingrid's fun, simple and sensible approach comes into play. Her recipes are really tasty and best of all, fast and easy to prepare. It has not even been a year since I stumbled across Eat Well Enjoy Life but the impact has been life changing!"  Kirsten Schultz   Germany

I am working on  the Winter Edition of the Nourishing Foods Cleanse - Recover which will be January 7-11.  After the holiday some of us need a gentle cleanse to recover our balance. I know I will.  This time we will be cleansing our colon and testing our acid alkaline balance daily.

It will be interesting to see how it changes from the time we begin to the end of the 5 days of cleansing. There will be more information and sign up coming soon.

I will be doing a FREE Webinar at the end of December to tell you more about the acid and alkallinity in your body. In this Webinar you will learn why it is important to keep your acid levels down and how to stay in balance.  More details will be coming soon.

Since Thanksgiving is a week away below are 6 of my favorite vegetable dishes for your holiday feast.

A Tip for the day after Thanksgiving....

Get out and move, walk, run any type of exercise. Exercise cleans up the extra sugars from your blood stream. Your muscles drink up the carbs to restore muscle glycogen that gets depleted while you work out. You will feel great.

My Top 6 Favorite Thanksgiving Vegetable Dishes

Thanksgiving is my favorite holiday because we celebrate food. I love spending time with family and friends, everyone is comfortable eating on Thanksgiving.   Usually the meal focuses around the turkey but the best part of the meal are the side dishes.  I personally love the vegetable dishes that accompany the turkey so I wanted to give some of my favorite recipes here.

I think the best foods at Thanksgiving are the simplest, cooked in their natural state with minimal spices to let the original flavor shine.None of the dishes below are particularly difficult to prepare, and they can all be made several hours ahead and quickly reheated in the oven, which is important for a Thanksgiving feast.

As always, I recommend filling your plate 70% full of vegetables so you fill up on the good stuff.  When the vegetables taste this good it is easy to do.

Roasted Zucchini with Goat Cheese & Black Olives - the warm goat cheese gets nice and creamy in this dish

Sauteed Kale with Delicata Squash - The bitter greens contrast nicely with the sweet squash

Roasted Kuri Squash with Honey and Smoked Paprika (also can be made with Acorn Squash) check out the video

Roasted Red Kuri Squash with Honey & Smoked Paprika

Caramelized Brussels Sprouts with ShallotsBe sure not to overcook your brussels sprouts. Not only do they lose their nutritional value and taste but they will begin to emit the unpleasant sulfur smell associated with overcooked cruciferous vegetables.

Marinated Swiss Chard - This can be served as a side dish, as part of an antipasto or wrapped in romaine as an appetizer.

Cauliflower with Miso Sauce - Cut the cauliflower nice and small for this dish.

  Have a great Thanksgiving!
