So many thanks

I hope you and your family had a warm & wonderful Thanksgiving. We had a feast of turkey, sweet potatoes, cranberry sauce, brussel sprouts, collards and so much more. WOW so delicious. I particularly enjoyed the cranberries. When I did some research I discovered Cranberries have many benefits for our body. I am going to keep eating them for the rest of the winter. Below I have listed the benefits and provided 2 simple recipes one with sugar and one without.

Amazing Benefits of Cranberries

We have all heard cranberries are a remedy for urinary tract infections but that's not all. These little berries have so many more benefits you might want to keep eating them the rest of the winter!.

  • Urinary Tract Support - they help reduce the risk of infection in our urinary tract because of the unusual nature of their proanthocyanidins (PACs ) These components prevent the ability of e-coli and other infectious agents to adhere to the lining of the urethra and bladder
  • Gatrointestinal Protection- much the same way as cranberries may help prevent bacterial attachment to the lining of the urinary tract, they may also help prevent attachment of bacteria to the stomach lining.
  • Good for your Heart - cranberries may contribute to the reduced risk of cardiovascular disease, as well as lowering blood pressure. A substantial number of recent studies have shown that whole cranberries do a better job of protecting our cardiovascular system and our liver than cranberry extracts used in juices or supplements.
  • Reduces LDL Cholesterol
  • Strengthen Immunity - cranberries support the lymph system which is the body's pump to keep everything moving in and out of our cells
  • Benefits your gums
  • Protects the prostate
  • Reduces your risk of getting the common cold
