I would never have thought I could make changes that would be so profound in all areas of my life. There is a new lightness and brightness about me. I have lost 20 lbs (!), and seen improvements in my skin, hair and nails. I have avoided medications for high cholesterol and triglycerides - making real changes in my blood work. Overall, I have new found energy for myself and my family. This is the only way to live - let Jen show you the way, too!! - Jen Z.
How can food that tastes so good be so good for you?? - J.H.
My family eats together when we eat your food. For that alone, I am so grateful! Thank you from the bottom of my heart. - Tricia R.
Thank you SO much for a wonderful cooking class. I can really say that it has changed the way I eat, cook and shop for groceries! I always thought I've been health-conscious when it came to food, but I never realized just how much more I could be doing. Thanks again! - Celina Z.
The experience I've had with Jen Kelly has truly changed my life. Not only has my body changed, but my entire way of thinking. - Steph T.
Jen provides an invaluable service; it is some of the best money I've ever spent on myself. - Joanna H.

Greetings!
We all know we should eat more vegetables, so why don't we all do it? I have heard everything from, "I don't have time" to "I don't know how." The truth is, I didn't always know how to balance my food so that vegetables were the main part of my day, rather than just a side dish (if at all!)
I started with just one little green, and before I knew it, my shopping cart, pantry, refrigerator, dinner plate, entire way of eating changed for the better - not to mention my energy, skin, hair, and overall health. All it took was one "add-in" to start it all.
If you feel like you want to get healthier, but aren't sure where to start, then join us for a three-class intro to healthy cooking series starting at the end of the month. Or, call me to set up your own cooking class that will touch on the topics you need most to work on.
Take it from someone who's been there - transforming the way you look and feel is so much easier than you think...and what could be more worth it?
Wishing you all the best in 2011, Jennifer

Sweets for your sweet
Chocolate, almond or chocolate-almond macaroons gift-wrapped for Valentine's Day
All across the country, women are crying out the annual Valentine's Day plea: "Please, don't buy me chocolates!!" If you think sweet treats are synonymous with weight-gain, guilt and tight-fitting jeans, then you must try Cooking With Love's raw macaroons. Our decadent macaroons are "raw" because they are baked in a dehydrator for 18 hours at 116º (just low enough to preserve the living enzymes and nutrients in the raw, 100% organic ingredients used). The only sweetener found inside is pure maple syrup, making these delicious, satisfying little bites a treat you simply cannot feel guilty about. Forward this to your honey (make sure s/he finds the coupon at the bottom!) with a new plea for Valentine's Day: "Let's share some real sweets together!" Scroll to the bottom for a money-saving coupon! Valentine's Day orders must be placed by February 9 |

Recipe of the Month Go green chia smoothie
2 cups filtered water or 1 bottle coconut water 1 apple (skin on) 1 banana, peeled sliver fresh ginger 1 tbsp chia seeds 2-4 cups fresh baby spinach
If using a conventional blender, slice apple into pieces, but do not peel or core. Place water, seeds and fruit into blender and mix on high. Slowly add in spinach while blender is running and let run until smooth. Add additional coconut or plain water until desired consistency is achieved. Serve over ice and add straw to enjoy.
If using a high-speed blender such as Vitamix, place all ingredients at once, add ice and mix on high until smooth.
..................................................................................
"Chia seeds?! Do you mean as in Chia Pet?" Why, yes, actually, I do. Chia seeds are a phenomenal superfood used by the ancient Aztec soldiers as they went into battle. Mostly known for their beneficial omega-3 fatty acids, they provide a significant source of calcium, magnesium, antioxidants as well as an enormous amount of fiber. Chia seeds can hold approximately 10 times their weight in water, which means that consumers of chia seeds should increase their water intake as well. Perhaps their most beneficial act is in reducing inflammation in the body, and improving joint health and skin tone. |
