Greetings!
The average American gains some seven to twelve pounds over the holiday season. This does not have to be you! The truth is, we are in control of what goes into our bodies, and with a little know-how, getting through the holidays can be easy as pie. ............................................... Jennifer's holiday get-together survival tips:
1) Use a plate for appetizers rather than sidling up to the bar and eating unknown amounts
2) Don't arrive to a party starving; eat some real food beforehand
3) Bring a dish made with real and whole foods that you would like to eat 4) Drink a full glass of water between alcoholic beverages 5) Take in the party itself. Notice the people, the room, the atmosphere, and literally consume the joy of the gathering. To learn more about cooking healthy holiday foods, join us for our November 8 cooking class, or create your own class with a group of friends. ............................................................Scroll below for a delicious, seasonal mashed sweet potato recipe, information on our holiday cooking class, and how to download last month's teleclass: "Breaking the Sugar Cycle."
