How can food that tastes so good be so good for you?? - J.H.

My family eats together when we eat your food.  For that alone, I am so grateful!  Thank you from the bottom of my heart.     - Tricia R.

Thank you SO much for a wonderful cooking class. I can really say that it has changed the way I eat, cook and shop for groceries! I always thought I've been health-conscious when it came to food, but I never realized just how much more I could be doing.  Thanks again!         - Celina Z.

The experience I've had with Jen Kelly has truly changed my life. Not only has my body changed, but my entire way of thinking.        - Steph T.

Jen provides an invaluable service; it is some of the best money I've ever spent on myself.   - Joanna H.

Greetings!

How many years did I set resolutions, only to abandon them by the first weekend of January?  While goal-setting is a phenomenal tool for creating the reality you want, resolutions alone don't work.

The truth is, it takes more than just a wish list to make your dreams come true - it takes real intention.

Why do you want the goals you set?  What is behind them?  I always ask my clients to create goals that have a meaningful vision behind them.  If you know what your life is missing - and why you want to change it - then you will find motivation and be moved to action.

If you want to lose weight, then why?  How will your life be different when you lose weight?  What will change for you, your family, your entire life?  If you want to get healthier, then why?  What will be different for you compared to your current life?

Shift your focus to the root of the issue.  Find your intention, and you will find that the steps you need to take are actually easier than you thought.

Start with your goals - be specific, write in the present tense, and keep them positive.  Have in your mind the vision of your new life as you write.

Please seek support if you need it - so often we know what to do, but don't do it.  If that is your case, then you must find out why.  Call me for a free consultation and we can discuss what has been holding you back.

Get to the root and watch everything change.

Wishing you an intention-filled 2011,
Jennifer

What would your life be like with an abundance of energy?

How would your days be different?

Can food actually help you get there?

If you find it difficult to get up in the morning or to stay energized throughout the day,

If you rely on caffeine, sports drinks, sugar or snacks for energy boosts,

Then join Jennifer Kelly for a class that could change the way food affects your life forever.

In this one-hour class, you will learn about:
  • the add-in strategy for healthy living
  • the top food categories for increasing your energy
  • top energy-depleting foods (some of these may surprise you!)
  • concrete tips for eliminating the midday slump
  • how to reduce cravings for caffeine, sugar and other unnatural energy sources without feeling deprived

  • what you can do to begin increasing your energy immediately
  • the simplest, most effective way to increase energy, boost your immune system, jump-start weight loss, detoxify your system and feel better than ever

Cooking class:  "Quick and Easy" Healthy Meals for Busy People
January 24 class sold out - call for availability

Do you feel you have no time for preparing quality meals?

Think healthy cooking requires long hours in the kitchen?

Think again!

With a little know-how, a few "back-pocket" recipes and an open mind, you can enjoy better quality, better tasting foods - not to mention improved health and increased energy - and still have time for yourself and your family.

Once you see how fast and easy using real and whole foods can be, you may never go back to the so-called "convenient" packaged and take-out meals that provide little or no real nutrition for your body, mind and soul.

Recipe of the Month
Recovery smoothie

1 bottle coconut water
1/4 fresh pineapple
handful frozen strawberries
handful frozen blueberries
handful or two of fresh baby spinach or kale

If using a conventional blender, chop pineapple into small chunks.  Place coconut water and fruit into blender and mix on high.  Slowly add in spinach while blender is running and let run until smooth.  Add additional coconut or plain water until desired consistency is achieved.  Serve over ice and add straw to enjoy.

If using a high-speed blender such as Vitamix, place all ingredients at once, add ice and mix on high until smooth.
