School Welcomes Families
As part of Family Weekend on October 2, Dean Barbara Kahn hosted a Q&A session for parents of undergraduates in the School of
Business. In her remarks, Kahn stressed
the sense of community the business school seeks to establish between its
students and faculty and noted enhancements to the undergraduate curriculum. "The business program that
freshman and sophomores are going through is really quite different than what
juniors and seniors went through," Khan said.
"One thing we've done is front-load the curriculum so that students are
taking business courses their first year.
What that has done is created a real business school community." Kahn was joined by Linda Neider, vice dean of undergraduate business programs and
other School administrators who also spent time at the reception meeting
parents and answering questions.
