School Graduates Host NYC-Area Alumni Events New York City-area alumni came out in force in mid-October, when Dean Barbara E. Kahn, other School administrators, faculty from the Department of Finance, and nearly 40 graduate and undergraduate finance students arrived for four days of meetings, presentations and special events. Alumna Awarded Entrepreneur of the Year The South Florida Hispanic Chamber of Commerce has named the recipients of its 14th Annual Sunshine Awards which will be presented at a luncheon on November 6, 2008. Susana Alvarez-Diaz, president and founder of the PR/marketing and branding firm, The Alvarez Diaz Group, has been named Entrepreneur of the Year for her effort in growing her company and for the contributions she has made in the non-profit sector. Susana is also an adjunct professor teaching high potential ventures, small business management, and small business consulting within the Entrepreneurship Program at the School of Business. More
