Tired of trying to fit into society's mold of religion? Following someone else's path to spiritual enlightenment? Efforts to do this have left most of us feeling like we are sitting alone in the dark. The Weekly Eureka invites you to flip on a light switch - ask the questions - question the answers and join others on the journey to the most important discovery of all - that of your true self.

Radical Forgiveness

One thing that we need to understand is that the world we are living in right now - this human experience we are having - is temporary. Therefore, things are necessary here that are not necessary in the eternal realm...for instance, forgiveness. Because God sees things and people only in their complete and perfected form, he does not even recognize our sin. This is why forgiveness is inconceivable in heaven (eternity). But here, where we are living now, it is a necessary correction for mistakes we have made and misperceptions we continue to hold on to as truth and reality.

Down inside, we all long for what is eternal; for what is infinite; for what is beyond our present reality. So, how do we get there? Or, because no man is an island, the better question would be, how do we help each other get there? If we want to go beyond our present reality we have to start perceiving beyond this temporary world and existence where it feels completely natural to follow the law of "an eye for an eye" and to return evil for evil. Because God has given us free will, we can choose to keep doing that for as long as we want, but that mentality will never take us any higher than where we are today. And I think we can all look at the world around us and agree that we don't want to stay here! If we want to go higher, we must begin to think higher.

Bishop Carlton Pearson describes sin with one of the best definitions I have ever heard. It is "an inappropriate response to a legitimate need." This means that here in this temporary, earthly, human existence, when someone attacks or hurts us, we must learn to practice radical forgiveness which is defined in the book A Course In Miracles as "remembering only the loving thoughts you gave in the past, and those that were given you. All the rest must be forgotten. A radical forgiveness is a complete letting go of the past in any personal relationship as well as in any collective drama...It is our function to see through the illusion of guilt, to the innocence that lies beyond."

Radical forgiveness requires us to look beyond what is on the surface. If we ask for it, the Holy Spirit will help us to look only with the eyes of love, as God does, and cause us to be able to truly believe that everyone is doing the best they can on the level where they are with the information they have so that even when they hurt us or take something from us, we can see that it was only an inappropriate response to a legitimate need they have. Instead of striking back, we can learn to say, "I see that you have a need. How can I help you go about filling it in a more appropriate way?" This is truly the mind of Christ. If we want to follow Christ, this is what we must do. It's the example he set for us on the cross, and I believe it's what he meant when he said, "Take up your cross and follow me." I believe he was saying, "Learn to rise above and radically forgive as I did."

Quote of the Week

"Christ's vision is the Holy Spirit's gift, God's alternative to the illusion of separation and to the belief in the reality of sin, guilt and death. It is the one correction for all errors of perception; the reconciliation of the seeming opposites on which this world is based. Its kindly light shows all things from another point of view, reflecting the thought system that arises from knowledge and making return to God not only possible, but inevitable. What was regarded as injustice done to one by someone else now becomes a call for help and for union. Sin, sickness and attack are seen as misperceptions calling for remedy through gentleness and love."

I Don't Know...The Way of Knowing

by D.E. Paulk

I Don't Know is the required confession needed to be granted admission to the path of enlightenment and to The Way of Knowing. I Know is conclusive, ending, finite and therefore devastating. I Know is an enemy of immortality and nemesis to The Way of Knowing. We are all infinite spirits and the offspring of the Infinite Creator. When we discover the I Don't Know within we unleash our Infinite nature and unearth the Endless Us! Are you ready to put on immortality?

All Truth flows to us from One Divine River . From that One River many wells form and are fed. We might call these wells religions, cultures or philosophies. All wells sustained by the One River contain beauty and truth. However, we make a grave mistake when we declare any particular well as being the One River. I Don't Know dissolves religious division, bridges cultural chasms and dodges philosophical divorce originating from the I Know. I Don't Know is the Repairer of the Breach. In a day when the I Know is to be charged with so much human suffering - I Don't Know shines brightly as an ancient idea whose time has come of age.  $20 ($30 for two)

The Holy Bible of Inclusion

by D.E. Paulk

If you are like me you have struggled to accept the modern Christian church's portrayal (or betrayal) of God, depiction of the devil and description of hell. Many god-fearing people and good-hearted preachers alike have long harbored unspoken thoughts of a more loving, merciful and masterful Creator. However, just about as many who subscribe to this grander vision and version of God also admittedly and even ashamedly lack the ability to reference the Bible and specific passages of scripture in order to publicly validate these privately held higher concepts of God.

If you are looking for chapter and verse that will both quickly and completely rescue a big God from the smallness of fundamentalism,THE HOLY BIBLE OF INCLUSION is precisely the tool you need!

THE HOLY BIBLE OF INCLUSION will scripturally, extensively and even exhaustively confront theological myths, misrepresentations and mistranslations of the Bible and its Origins - Universal Salvation - the devil - the Purpose of hell and the Fire of God - Sexual Orientation and many others. Join me on this worthwhile and rewarding spiritual journey as we research, rethink, recover and then re-present the awesome and awe-inspiring God of the universe.  $20 ($30 for two)

Until next week, remember... Truth is a Journey - Not a Destination!

D.E. was interviewed by Jesse Herriott, host of Unity Online Radio's Show "Living on Purpose" with Unity.FM (www.unity.fm/). The discussion was, "Revisioning the Christ Path." There are many folks that have walked away from Christianity as a whole, and disregarded it as a path to God because of church abuse, and fundamentalism. How do D.E. & Brandi and the Spirit and Truth Family re-brand, re-image, and reintroduce the Christ principle from the perspective of an expanded awareness and metaphysical point of view, and helping to keep it alive in our generation, and for future generations?
