The deep of the universe calls to us.
The knowing of eternity sweeps over us in waves and in seasons.
It does so as we journey and ask and launch into the deep.

Tragedy occurs when people journey a lifetime together and gain no deeper understanding of one another. One of the reasons we lack a knowing of each other is because we assume that we already know each other. We never get around to knowing because we perceive we already know. Feeling as if we know it all about one another keeps us from discovering quieted dreams, from speaking unspoken fears and from knowing the unknown of one another. People who are to really know one another must first admit that they do not know one another.

The longer we walk with God the more we find ourselves at a disadvantage. We find ourselves at the disadvantage of thinking we know God. If we perceive we have arrived at the answer we may never ask the right question... we may never know.

The person and essence of Christ was expressed both beautifully simple and boldly complex. He showed an enduring patience and endless compassion with people who were aware of their inadequacy and weakness. Yet, He exhibited a frustration and intolerance for those who thought they had it all figured out. Christ told the religious "know it alls" of His day, I am the Way, the truth and the life. The Way and the Life are not destinations. The Way and the Life are processes of journeying toward truth. If we want to know the Christ we must admit that we do not know Him, and even in our knowing, always reserve room for more knowing.

Affirmation for 2012

2012 will be a year of order and design in my life.
In 2012, the chaos in my life will surrender to order.
In 2012, the disorganization in my life is about to be overwhelmed by structure & discipline.
This year I will allow myself to be mentored into promotion & increase.
The failures of 2011 only exist in my mind to remind me of the wisdom I have gained.
In 2012, I am open, ready and willing for God's favor to follow me and lead me as I walk into my destiny.
I am healthy, wealthy and wise.
I am in balance and in order. 2012 will be the greatest year of my life.
