What is "Being" a Christian?
Part 1
THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN BELIEVING AND BECOMING

D.E. PAULK
KKK Jesus Saves
...The KKK has the name "Jesus" in its by-laws. So where does that leave us? Apparently, there are a whole lot of people, both in the past and at present, "believing" and confessing the name of Jesus without really "becoming" like the Christ.

Every Sunday morning, many people in this nation get up, drink their coffee, drive to their church of choice, quote John 3:16 and Romans 10:9 and believe that's all there is to "being" a Christian. But what does this really mean and is there a difference between believing and becoming? Yes, we can all believe that Jesus died for our sins, confess with our mouths that God raised Him from the dead and that He is King of Kings and Lord of Lords; but then, a little more than a century ago slave masters believed this same thing... those who believed a black man was only 3/5 a human being... confessed this too. So how do we reconcile that?

Some say those who call on the name "Jesus" will be saved - that there is no other name given in heaven or on earth by which we shall be saved and that no man comes to the Father but by Him. And that is fine, but you know who else loved Jesus? Hitler did. In fact, he was so devoted to that name and to the man that he decided it was acceptable to attempt to put an entire race of people to death in order to avenge Jesus' death. The KKK has the name "Jesus" in its by-laws. So where does that leave us? Apparently, there are a whole lot of people, both in the past and at present, "believing" and confessing the name of Jesus without really "becoming" like the Christ.

In order to "become" a Christian, is it just a matter of confessing a name, or must we also take on His nature? If we are His disciples shouldn't we do the things He did? Treat people the way He treated them? Is it just a matter of believing in a person, or must we dig deeper to find and then to develop the presence of Christ within ourselves?

Are you content to worship only the name of a person you feel attained something you are incapable of attaining? Or are you willing to "let His mind be in you" ... to begin thinking as He thought and therefore acting as He acted? Don't just believe... Become a Christian this week!

Quote of the Week

"Let this mind be in you which was also in Christ Jesus, who being in the form of God, did not consider it robbery to be equal with God."

I Don't Know...The Way of Knowing

by D.E. Paulk

I Don't Know is the required confession needed to be granted admission to the path of enlightenment and to The Way of Knowing. I Know is conclusive, ending, finite and therefore devastating. I Know is an enemy of immortality and nemesis to The Way of Knowing. We are all infinite spirits and the offspring of the Infinite Creator. When we discover the I Don't Know within we unleash our Infinite nature and unearth the Endless Us! Are you ready to put on immortality?

All Truth flows to us from One Divine River . From that One River many wells form and are fed. We might call these wells religions, cultures or philosophies. All wells sustained by the One River contain beauty and truth. However, we make a grave mistake when we declare any particular well as being the One River. I Don't Know dissolves religious division, bridges cultural chasms and dodges philosophical divorce originating from the I Know. I Don't Know is the Repairer of the Breach. In a day when the I Know is to be charged with so much human suffering - I Don't Know shines brightly as an ancient idea whose time has come of age.  $20 ($30 for two)

The Holy Bible of Inclusion

by D.E. Paulk

If you are like me you have struggled to accept the modern Christian church's portrayal (or betrayal) of God, depiction of the devil and description of hell. Many god-fearing people and good-hearted preachers alike have long harbored unspoken thoughts of a more loving, merciful and masterful Creator. However, just about as many who subscribe to this grander vision and version of God also admittedly and even ashamedly lack the ability to reference the Bible and specific passages of scripture in order to publicly validate these privately held higher concepts of God.

If you are looking for chapter and verse that will both quickly and completely rescue a big God from the smallness of fundamentalism,THE HOLY BIBLE OF INCLUSION is precisely the tool you need!

THE HOLY BIBLE OF INCLUSION will scripturally, extensively and even exhaustively confront theological myths, misrepresentations and mistranslations of the Bible and its Origins - Universal Salvation - the devil - the Purpose of hell and the Fire of God - Sexual Orientation and many others. Join me on this worthwhile and rewarding spiritual journey as we research, rethink, recover and then re-present the awesome and awe-inspiring God of the universe.  $20 ($30 for two)

Until next week, remember... Truth is a Journey - Not a Destination!

Pro-Love,
