Change is the only constant in this life. Over history's millennia, humans and animals alike have changed and adapted to ensure their survival. Species that have been resistant to change and adaptation are now extinct. We all change at our own pace and in our own space. However, we all change. It is necessary. Inevitable.

In the days of John the Baptist those who perceived that they knew the mind of God, had become too inflexible to think differently about the truths they had been taught and were now teaching others; thus when John and Jesus, after him, came bringing the Good News, they refused to change. So, rather than the religious elite, it was those who were considered the societal rejects, the prostitutes and tax collectors, who received the truth and who continued to spread the message of Jesus throughout the world. Their ability to change and adapt enabled them to do this.

Life on our planet survives by its willingness to rotate alternately into and out of the sun's light during each twenty-four hour period. Our planet's temperature is regulated as it embraces both the light and the darkness. Life becomes sparse in the areas that remain too hot or too cold. If we refuse to change - to embrace both the light and the darkness, the known and the unknown of God - we inevitably become either a spiritual desert or a lifeless frozen tundra.

Learning to agree with change is the essence of a spiritual surrender that helps to promote joy, health and ultimately survival. Learn to change and to think with your spirit mind, your eternal mind, the mind that has no boundary or barrier; no beginning or ending; and no destination.

Affirmation for 2012

2012 will be a year of order and design in my life.
In 2012, the chaos in my life will surrender to order.
In 2012, the disorganization in my life is about to be overwhelmed by structure & discipline.
This year I will allow myself to be mentored into promotion & increase.
The failures of 2011 only exist in my mind to remind me of the wisdom I have gained.
In 2012, I am open, ready and willing for God's favor to follow me and lead me as I walk into my destiny.
I am healthy, wealthy and wise.
I am in balance and in order. 2012 will be the greatest year of my life.
