Christ Church Westshore is a member of the Anglican Church in North America, which is part of the Anglican Communion embracing over 77 million brothers and sisters around the world. From Nigeria in Africa to Singapore in Asia to Bolivia in South America, God has blessed and expanded the Anglican Church far beyond the borders of the United Kingdom and the Church of England.
1. We are a Christian Church. We believe in one God who revealed himself through his son, Jesus Christ.
2. We are and Evangelical Church. We believe that the Bible is God's word and is, therefore, our authority in all matters of faith and conduct.
3. We are an Anglican Church. We stand in the tradition of the ancient catholic Church, holding to the Ancient Creeds and councils. We also stand with the Anglican Reformers of the 16th Century, affirming with them the great truths that were rediscovered at the time of the Reformation, such as justification by grace through faith alone and salvation in Christ.
4. We are a Welcoming Church. We understand and respect questions, doubts and struggles people have about Christianity. We believe honest questions deserve honest answers. We are not a perfect people, but we are a welcoming people.
