Kristin Love & Michael Hervieux
Bay Voyage Inn |

After a carriage ride in Central Park in Manhattan one autumn day, Michael Hervieux slipped a solitaire diamond ring on Kristin Love's finger and asked her to be his wife. "Every time I look at the ring now, it brings me back to that beautiful day and the dreams of our engagement," Love says.
What should have been was, and what could have been, well, what else matters when you are marrying the love of your life? The couple planned to wed in a ceremony at Beavertail State Park in Jamestown, with a tented reception held at Wetherledge Estate near Fort Wetherill State Park, also in Jamestown. The weekend of the wedding, tropical storm Danny arrived uninvited, blowing the outdoor ceremony into the Bay Room at the Bay Voyage Inn where Hervieux is the executive chef. Guests enjoyed an intimate reception in the Harbor Room. Love, a wedding and event planner for Details With Love, knows a thing or two about last minute changes and uninvited guests. "In my experience, one thing you can't control in planning a New England destination wedding is the weather," Love says. "My advice to brides: go with it, have fun and enjoy!"
A rich palette of chocolate brown, sage green and white orchid set the stage for a stormy summer wedding. Urns of sea grass set upon iron pedestals and fresh ivory, pink and peach flower petals were strewn along the aisle for the bride to cross.
Guests should have expected the food to be extraordinary, and the gourmand groom did not disappoint. For cocktail hour, guests enjoyed the St. Germain cocktail, a shot of St. Germain topped with Prosecco, garnished with a lemon twist and served in a champagne glass. An elaborate spread of Tuscan hors d'oeuvres and an entrée of pork tenderloin and striped bass sated the happy crowd.
The couple danced to Taj Mahal's "Never Let You Go," and then headed to their honeymoon at Sandals Grande St. Lucian Beach Resort & Spa in St. Lucia. Though the bride's parents, Anthony and Rosemarie Casilli, live in Portsmouth, the couple chose Wakefield, Rhode Island, as their new home -RC

As a bride, you have enough to worry about on your wedding day, having your wedding hairstyle turn hair disaster should should not be a concern. Whether you like simple elegance or glamour, one thing is certain when choosing a hairstyle for your special day---be sure that it complements your facial structure. Choosing a hairstyle that matches your face shape can determine the success of the look you are aiming for.
Round faces look best with long or loose waves. Long hair will elongate your face, while adding a side part or sweeping bangs will also give it shape. On the other hand, triangle or square-shaped faces are complemented more by a classic up-do with romantic curls. Try a simple ballerina twist or a low, sleek chignon with loose tendrils. Lucky ladies with oval or diamond-shaped faces can choose a luxuriously long hairstyle, or a polished up do, and look exquisite in both.
Also, hair pieces are a popular trend right now. They come in all styles, sizes and colors, and can add a unique look for a very unique you. Try a vintage pill box style hat accented with a birdcage veil, or a peacock feather pin for added color and pizazz....this is your day to shine! -DC |
