It's very exciting for us that September 2010 marks the 1 year anniversary of our electronic BBB Bulletin.  We hope that this past year has brought you some informative and interesting articles.  We hope this information is valuable to you and plan to continue to bring helpful information to our BBB Accredited Businesses. 

BBB sometimes gets asked what to do if a debt collector comes calling on a debt that you don't owe. The below article should clear up some confusion and give some assistance should you find yourself in this situation. 

Every year, along with general contractors and construction and remodeling, roofers are always among the most researched companies in the BBB database. As we enter the fall, we've included a timeless article regarding how to best choose a roofer should you require that service. 

Also, a recent Wall Street Journal article regarding embezzlement and how to avoid internal fraud caught our attention and we thought we'd pass it along for your information.

Consumer Tip - Find a Roofer You Can Trust

studentEvery year, homeowners research the trustworthiness of roofing contractors with BBB more than 2 million times-more than any other industry. Unfortunately, last year, BBB also received more than 7,600 complaints about roofers. BBB recommends doing your research to avoid getting ripped off by an untrustworthy roofer.

Keep Your Business Safe From Embezzlement and Internal Fraud

In both good economic times and bad, fraud should be a big concern for businesses. Chances of some types of internal fraud such as embezzlement can be lessened slightly just by taking some simple steps.
