Dear BBB Accredited Business,

Summer is in full swing, and with the weather heating up, people may be investigating problems with their air conditioning units and duct work. BBB wants you to be aware of unscrupulous air duct cleaners that may be operating in our area by issuing tips on how to choose a company wisely. We have an article on fraudulent online auto dealers that have recently surfaced, and have a business tip for businesses operating on the Internet. Privacy policies are an important piece of information that builds consumer trust. Read the article below and make sure your company has taken the appropriate steps to safeguard your consumer's information.

Just as we did last month, BBB wants to make sure people are aware of the consumer issues related to the Deepwater Horizon Oil Spill. As many people have already encountered hardships due to the event, we hope that these articles will help consumers avoid becoming unnecessary victims due to fraudulent activities or bogus charities.

Make sure to read the articles and avoid all of these scams. As usual, we hope this issue is informative, and thank you for your continued support of your local Better Business Bureau.

BBB Warns Car Shoppers About Online Dealer Scam

carBetter Business Bureau is warning car shoppers to beware of websites offering too-good-to-be-true deals on repossessed cars. BBB has heard from people across the country who thought they were buying from a reputable dealer online but were actually sending money to scammers posing as legitimate, already-established community dealerships.
