Dear BBB Accredited Business,

Welcome to the first edition of the Better Business Bureau Bulletin in it's new digital format.  Each month, the BBB will provide news of particular interest to local businesses, as well as tips and scam alerts.  Each edition will also include newly accredited local businesses, and businesses that are no longer BBB accredited because of unanswered or unresolved complaints.  Over the first few months, we hope to develop it into a tool that is useful and interesting our BBB Accredited Businesses.  Please feel free to contact us regarding changes to your e-mail address, or company information.  We look forward to serving you in this new and exciting way, and we thank you for your support of the Better Business Bureau.

BBB and the Cash for Clunkers Program
Realizing the high level of frustration with car dealerships regarding the slow payments from the Federal government's "Cash for Clunkers" program, a nationwide effort has been initiated by local Better Business Bureaus to support automobile dealers.

Better Business Bureau warns "Renter Beware!"
Better Business Bureau is warning renters to be on the lookout for scammers on Craigslist and other online classifieds when searching for a home. Phony ads for rental properties across the country are cropping up, and are specifically aimed at stealing money from unsuspecting renters.

WDSU/BBB Consumer Awareness Campaign Begins
WDSU Channel 6
We invite all BBB Accredited Businesses to participate in the WDSU/BBB Consumer Awareness Campaign. The campaign will air in December 2009-Jauary 2010.
 
Each message will be sponsored by 6 participating members. Your business name and phone number will appear on the consumer message. Audio of your business name will be announced on the consumer message. All 10 commercials will air in news, information and entertainment programs. Additionally, participants will receive exposure on WDSU.com and the 24/7 local Weather Plus News and Traffic channel.

We have kept the cost low, $150, in the hope that you might all participate.

The identification of your company as a BBB Accredited Business, as well as the high-profile television presence of the BBB will be beneficial to both your business and the BBB - while providing the public with important information.
