COME CHECK OUT THE "NEW STUFF", BUT PLEASE DON'T CROSS THE FENCES! - Ed.
|
|
|
Greetings!
In his book The Fifth Discipline, Peter Senge introduces the concept of creative tension: "The juxtaposition of vision (what we want) and a clear picture of current reality (where we are relative to what we want) generates...creative tension - a force to bring them together, caused by the natural tendency of tension to seek resolution. The essence of personal mastery is learning how to generate and sustain creative tension in our lives."
For idealists (like me), vision is the easy part. Now, we need to learn the practical part. We need to become REALLY interested in (dismal, boring, linear...) topics like finance and accounting. This is not a necessary evil, but a critical part of the creative process.
Can we do this?
Sincerely,
Mark Anthroposophical Society |

War Lessons Bring Peace
| |
Members of the news media are beginning to take notice of the remarkable stories at Hesperus. For example, here is a brief quote from a recent article by Kim Zarzour:
"Kaz Chomko stared death in the face and struggled to know - with the barrel of his own gun aimed at the enemy's head - if he had the right to bring death to another. Who better, then, to be a beacon for peace?"

Richmond Hill Centre for the Performing Arts, 10268 Yonge Street
The intention is to give the public a good chance to discover who Rudolf Steiner is, how he contributed to the many fields of human endeavour, and what initiatives arise out of his work in our neighbourhood and in our greater surroundings today. Candlelight Vendors Market - Through December 18 | |
As you may have heard, the Toronto Waldorf School is NOT holding it's usually-annual Candlelight Fair this year. The Village Market is doing what it can to step into the breach by running a small Candlelight Vendors Market during November and December upstairs in the TWS lobby during regular Market hours of 8:30 to 1:30, through December 18. Be sure to go upstairs and check it out when you're shopping for organic veggies at the Village Market. For an up-to-date list of which vendors are expected, visit the Market website.
