School Unveils Custom S&P Dow Jones Stock Index - A University and Business School First
The School of Business Administration has established a new custom S&P Dow Jones stock market index to measure the performance of publicly traded companies in Florida.

South Florida Business Journal - January 26, 2016 - An article detailed the "University of Miami's Florida 50 Index," a stock market index created by the School of Business to measure the performance of all Florida-based companies in the S&P 1500. The article included quotes from Seth Levine, an accounting lecturer, who noted that "Obviously, every state can't outperform the market. But it would be interesting if you had a California ETF, or a Florida one or a New York one." Article

Miami Herald - January 25, 2016 - An article about the "University of Miami's Florida Index," just launched by the School of Business, noted that the custom S&P Dow Jones Index is expected to function as a "bellwether for Florida's economy." Article

Financial Times - January 10, 2016 - An article about the growing demand for MBA programs and classes in real estate noted that the School of Business is among a number of business schools that "have opened or beefed up offerings to meet demand." Article

The Economist - January 5, 2016 - The magazine published an article co-authored by Henrik Cronqvist, a professor of finance, about his research which found that family background, life experiences and genes help determine investment behavior. Article

Miami Today - December 3, 2015 - An article outlining the growth in the School's programs in health sector management and policy included numerous quote from Steve Ullmann, chair and professor of health sector management and policy, who noted the growth is "a reflection of the growing importance of the whole discipline of health sector management and policy from a business school perspective."
