Nurture Year in Review

2012 was a year full of product milestones and achievements. Here is our top ten list, in chronological order!

 1. Pocket with iPad arm: Pocket, the 2010 Nightingale award-winning mobile worksurface, became available with an iPad arm on April 23rd.

  2. TEDMED:
TEDMED, where leaders from all sectors of society come together, was held in early April in Washington DC. Nurture sent a team to see it live, and also held simulcasts in Grand Rapids and Chicago to expose the fascinating talks to a larger audience. TEDMED Tuesday became a regular feature on the Nurture blog as well.

 3. A New Neighbor: The new Neighbor, available for order on June 18th, now has components to create an even broader range of applications. It is more comfortable, and includes changes to the seat height and depth as well as an improved back angle.

4. Steelcase 100 Year Celebration, TEDMED, and Nurture Complement Each Other: Vijay Kumar, the Illinois Institute of Technology, Institute of Design professor and moderator of Nurture's Chicago TEDMED simulcast, wrote on the Nurture blog regarding the strong connection and similarities between TEDMED, Nurture, and Steelcase's 100th anniversary celebration. They all focus on 'converging and connecting', the act of bringing people from different fields together, and the importance of dreams for the future, particularly in the area of health and wellness.

5. Successful Relay Launch: The clinical environment requires a product that is designed to withstand the trials of daily use. Relay provides a solution that moves and operates with a single handle touch point, eliminating the need for adjusting the keyboard and monitor separately, resulting in one continuous motion. This allows the caregiver to focus on what's most important - their patient.

6. New Nurture.com: This site is a tremendous improvement and will be a critical tool for sharing information, having dialogue and supporting the Nurture business. The design and organization are vastly improved, making it easier for designers, dealers and partners to find products and resources. Think of it as 200 new brochures in one new mobile tool. Check it out today!

7. Neocon 2012: Ask.Innovate:

Nurture hosted a healthcare immersive "social space" within the Illinois Institute of Technology Institute of Design in conjunction with NeoCon 2012. Over 300 healthcare professionals, A&D and dealers raved about their experience.

8. Mayo Transform: This conference, hosted by the Mayo Clinic  Center for Innovation, posed problems inherent in the healthcare status quo and then proposed solutions, all in tidy 20 minute packages. Check out the presentations online and in the Nurture blog series 'Mayo Monday'.

 9. Collegiate Healthcare Design Competition: Nurture sponsored this competition again and hosted the winners at the Healthcare Design Conference in Phoenix. Check out all 6 finalists on the Nurture blog!

10. Healthcare Design Conference - Regard Wins Nightingale!: Regard, an integrated system whose goal is to provide thoughtful applications that promote useful transitional experiences, won Nurture's fifth prestigious Nightingale award in 6 years at Healthcare Design.

Experience Relay!

Nurture by Steelcase announces an exciting, limited-time sample offer designed to give end users firsthand experience in how Relay's intuitive design supports information technology and the caregiver work process at the point of care.

This program is especially unique as it not only includes a Relay arm, but also a specialized kit for demonstration purposes.  Relay's ease of use, product quality and intuitive design are really what sets it apart from other wall-mounted charting solutions - so much so that we feel it's extremely important for end users to be able to experience Relay first hand. This sample kit provides the capability to mount Relay to any door (instead of drilling holes in a wall) for demonstration without marring the surface of the door. In addition, a robust case for storage and transport (the case is on wheels) is included.

This offer will run through January 30, 2013 so be sure to distribute to your dealers immediately (especially with the holidays fast approaching) so they won't miss out on this great opportunity! Please follow the link to the Relay sample offer flyer on Village for addition details surrounding terms and timing.
