Big Win at the South Jordan Clinic
Located in a region currently experiencing a great deal of growth, the south end of the Salt Lake Valley, the South Jordan Clinic is a recent Nurture project win. The clinic is affiliated with the University of Utah, which is looking to expand their healthcare reach. Megan Burraston is the Nurture AHM involved with the project, and she worked closely with Stephanie Ennis from Midwest Commercial Interiors and Duane Palmer from the University of Utah Clinic to make this project a success.
The install will end up being over $2 million, and will consist of Aspekt, Sync, Neighbor, Mineral Recliner and Sonata. It will include other Steelcase, Inc products as well; Steelcase is the sole source for this project.
The project itself has been underway for several years, as it was known that the University of Utah wanted to expand their clinical offering, and that the Salt Lake valley was experiencing terrific growth, particularly in the healthcare market. Megan worked closely with project director, Duane Palmer, to truly understand his vision and hosted key decision makers on 2 separate jet trips; she says that these trips really helped the University of Utah group make their decisions on furnishing their clinic, and choosing which Nurture offerings best fit their specific needs.
Nurture was set apart in winning this project by being a true partner to the client. Megan and Stephanie listened and learned to understand their exact needs and vision for the project. This was much appreciated by Duane and the rest of the University of Utah team and helped lead to this project's success.

Planning Ideas and Design Ideas
After receiving feedback indicating there's a great need, not only for design ideas, but also for associated specs and pricing, there are now updated Planning Ideas on Steelcase.com, set up to offer exactly that. Over the last few weeks, 12 new ideas have been loaded to the healthcare Planning Ideas!
These new ideas have been primarily patient rooms as they were most in need of updating. The plan is to continue to update and add to the healthcare Planning Ideas, so don't forget to periodically check in! Planning Ideas are a great resource for budget estimates as well as thought starters and inspiration.
Distinct from Planning Ideas, but equally helpful, are Design Ideas, loaded on Nurture's public Flickr site. These are more conceptual and meant to spark inspiration, and sometimes even have insights written out next to the drawing.
Check out these 2 resources today!
