Ignis Systems Highlights
Wrapping Up 2012
Looking back, 2012 was another busy year of growth, and we're glad you were a part of it. We now provide lab and radiology orders/results workflows for over 450 practices and 15,000 users, and we have integrated to our 100th lab.
We took your advice by adding a number of new features that improve patient care and office efficiency:
- You asked us to provide a more readable lab report for patients -- we built Enhanced Results which many of you are using today.
- Some of our lab partners had difficulty compiling complete office-based lab reports, so we built Report Bundling. Read more on this below.

Letter from Ken Willett,
Ignis Systems CEO
Since most EMR-Link customers are using one of the GE Centricity EMRs, you may not be aware that we can provide interfaces to any EMR, and have live interfaces with most of the major players. Our lab partners like the work we do to integrate their lab services into practices, so they've been asking us to integrate to other EMRs for a number of years. Read more

Technical Tips
Did You Know: Now You Can Send EMR Clinical Data with Orders?
It's very common for radiology orders and some lab tests to require that clinical data be included in the order. Until now, this would require looking the information up in the patient's chart and reentering the data during Ask at Order Entry questions. EMR-Link can send a patient's problem list, medications and allergies from the EMR (known as "clinical lists" in Centricity) with all radiology orders. EMR-Link can also include clinical information already recorded in the patient's chart as a flowsheet observation value. Read more
Results Bundling
Most hospital lab systems were designed to immediately report lab results to an EMR the moment individual tests were completed. That's a great benefit in a hospital setting, but it can create multiple lab reports in your EMR when you'd rather see a single report. Last month, we added Results Bundling to deal with this problem. Read more
