We hope that you find our newsletter helpful and full of information. There are now over 250 practices and 4,500 providers using EMR-Link to manage lab and imaging orders and results. This newsletter is another way we are working to stay in touch with you all.

Security: A Shared Responsibility
A few weeks ago, one of our client accounts was vandalized. Using our audit information, we were able to determine which login account was used (it was one created by a former employee). Fortunately no patient information was accessed during this attack, and we were able to recover the configuration information that was deleted. It's been a busy spring here at Ignis Systems: new partnerships, speaking engagements, and new product functionality.
Your EMR-Link product keeps getting better. The "New Features" section of this newsletter includes cool new features added for an EMR client or a lab partner that can be added for you too.
This time around, we've added the ability for EMR observation values to flow from the EMR to the Orders Completion screen, where those values pre-populate the Ask at Order Entry fields. Read more

New Courtesy Copy Directory
EMR-Link now provides the ability to manage the courtesy copy directory. This directory contains a list of providers you can conveniently send courtesy copies ("CC") when placing lab orders. Read more
Radiology Orders Now Contain
Clinical Lists
We've set up some of our clients so their radiology orders now include problems, medications, and allergies from patient charts. This is important for many imaging studies (iodine allergies, for instance). Read more
Orders Can Contain Observation Values
For any order, EMR observation values, such as height, weight, creatinine values, etc., can be brought from the EMR to the Orders Completion screen, pre-populating the Ask at Order Entry fields, Read more |

Upgrade to EMR-Link 2.0

Technical Tips

Process Orders Form: Differences between Centricity EMR and Centricity Practice Solution
Ignis Systems makes every effort to ensure that EMR-Link runs successfully on every released and supported verison of Centricity. However, there are some differences between the Oracle-based Centricity EMR and the SQL Server-based Centricity Practice Solution, or CPS, that affect EMR-Link functionality. Read more

Document overlay is LinkLogic's ability to replace an old copy of a chart document with a newer copy. The idea behind Document Overlay is the belief that clinicians only want to see the most recent version of a lab report in the patient's chart.
