In this quarter's newsletter you'll find new features to make your job easier, technical tips to keep Centricity and EMR-Link working smoothly, troubleshooting tips for when things aren't smooth, and industry trends that impact us all.

 

We hope that you find our newsletter helpful and full of information. We're proud to say there are over 250 practices and 5,000 providers using EMR-Link to manage lab and imaging orders and results. This newsletter is another way we are working to stay in touch with you all.

Improving Your Lab Results Workflow

For most practices using EMR-Link, delivery of results from the lab to the EMR is pretty transparent and automatic. However, some clients have asked for additional functionality in the handling of results, and there are several useful features which can improve your lab and radiology results workflow. Read more

Over the last three summer months, we've added functionality you've asked us for, integrated new labs and radiology centers into the EMR-Link hub, added new EMRs to the EMR-Link hub, completed 76 EMR-to-lab integration projects, sponsored and spoke at industry events, and hosted training and maintenance webinars.  Whew - you've kept us busy.

Then join us at our October 11 or October 13 webinars where we'll demonstrate those features, as well as other enhancements such as requisition splitting, auto-population of clinical ask-at-order-entry Order data (like "fasting", "LMP", "height", etc.), plus secure messaging.

Technical Tips

There are times when EMR-Link isn't working as expected. It's usually something simple, such as a parameter changing or a file that was accidentally deleted. This section gives you some useful tips on solving those issues.

 

Prepare EMR-Link for a

 Centricity Upgrade

To ensure that your EMR-Link interface remains functional after a Centricity upgrade where you are implementing new servers, DTS server, and/or workstations, certain files must be copied over to the new machines and reconfigured with the new Centricity version specifications. Click here for guidance on these required actions.

 

When you are preparing for your Centricity upgrade we request that you proactively email Ignis Systems support with your upgrade dates. For a small fee, we can provide weekend support coverage for sites that need an additional hand.

If you have questions, lose EMR-Link functionality or experience complications with your EMR-Link interface, please contact Ignis Support at support@ignissystems.com or 888-806-0309 option 2.

 

Centricity Upgrades: Helpful Tips

Ignis Systems has become aware of LinkLogic interface problems that may surface during Centricity upgrades. The good news is that there are workarounds for them.
