Fall Sports Banquet Tonight!

The Fall Sports Banquet will be held this evening December 9th, at 6:00pm in the Courtyard. 

Dinner will be served by Gabby's and the cost is $12.00 per ticket. 

The Fall Sports Programs that are being recognized are Football, Volleyball and Cross Country. 

 

Winter Sports Banquet - March 3rd, 2011 - 6:00pm

Spring Sports Banquet - May 3rd, 2011 - 6:00pm

 

Junior Ring Ceremony &

Christmas Breakfast

Class Ring

Juniors will receive their class rings in a special ceremony being held in the Courtyard on Friday, December 10th at 9:00am. 

Parents are welcome to attend.  Immediately following the ceremony, Christmas breakfast will be served in the gym. 

Lights In The Heights - Jazz Band

The LHN Jazz Band will make its fourth consecutive appearance at the Woodland Heights annual "Lights in the Heights" on Saturday, December 11, 2010 from 6:00-10:00 PM.  This popular event has thousands of revelers hear our great Jazz Band play original arrangements of over 30 Christmas carols and songs. Please stop by 411 Bayland Ave. to visit us!  

LHN Christmas Festival

The Lutheran High North Music Department proudly presents its bi-annual Christmas concert:

"An LHN Christmas Festival" on Sunday, December 12, 2010 at 3:00 PM in the LHN courtyard.  Featured will be the Concert Band, Concert Choir, Glory Givers and Jazz Band along with other small ensembles.  Surprise special guests will add to the excitement.  Music performed will  include both sacred and secular music for the Christmas season.  An audience sing-along will crown the always wonderful event.

*LHN is happy to announce all college acceptances. A special red sign is also placed on the student's locker. Please bring a copy of your acceptance letter and give to Mrs. Mary Heath for your file.

**Copies of the letters awarding scholarships, their amounts and conditions should also been given to Mrs. Heath for your file. These amounts are documented and the total amount of the class as a group is published in the senior profile book distributed at graduation.

LHN gets a New Roof!

You may have noticed the materials, trucks and work that has been taking place around LHN since Thanksgiving...all that construction was to completely replace our roof!  

The project was funded by FEMA in response to damages incurred by hurricane Ike.  

 

We are certainly pleased to have the new roof, and will be working over the next couple of months to do the minor repairs inside the building that the leaks have caused.  

 

Thanks be to God for this wonderful gift!

Be sure to look for pictures of the new roof in future newsletters.

 

ESLP Food Drve

It's better to give than to receive.

 

Please join ESLP in collecting food for the Annual December Food Drive. The food will be sent to the Houston Food Bank to benefit those less fortunate.

 

Donations will be accepted
November 30th - December 17th.

 

Here are some items you can bring:

    canned goods (tuna, spam, vegetables, fruit, etc.)

     peanut butter

    juice boxes or cans 

    pastas

 

These are just a few of the most needed items, but any nonperishable food items will be accepted. Monetary donations will also be accepted. Food items may be dropped off in the boxes in the lobby and monatary donations may be given to the office.
