Teacher Feature - Ms. Cook | |
|
Ms. Lisa Cook is in her 8th year at Lutheran High North and 8th year of teaching. She graduated from Concordia University in Seward, Nebraska in 2002, and received her Masters in Education Administration from Concordia University,Texas this past December. She teaches U.S. History, World History and AP World History to juniors and sopohmores.
She is in charge of a variety of activities at LHN including JV Volleyball, Senior Class Student Council and co-sponsor the Foreign Travel Program with Mrs. Diane White.
When Ms. Cook is not busy with school activities, she is at home with her dog Jack, spending time with friends, reading and watching movies, watching college football, and traveling whenever she can! She is originally from Nebraska where her family still resides, and she tries to visit them whenever possible.

Senior Parent College Information Night
Wednesday, September 15th
6:30pm in the courtyard
Mrs. Lynn Eickemeyer, Academic Dean and Mrs. Mary Heath, College Advisor will highlight the senior year college admission"to do" list. Please confirm by email to Mrs. Heath if you are coming so there will be an adequate number of copies of the LHN College Counseling Handbook for everyone attending.
Admission representatives from Texas Tech, University of Alabama, Stephen F. Austin and Houston Community College will be present to answer questions after the meeting. Remember to sign up and pay online for the one day SAT prep class held here at LHN in on September 25th at www.rmass.com More details are in the letter you received in the mail or contact Mrs. Heath. |

Lady Lions Volleyball News | |
Lady Lions took first place in the LHS San Antonio tournament last week!
Varsity also won their game against St. John last Tuesday!
District games begin on Tuesday against Concordia so come on out and support the teams!

LHN Lions Baseball | |
 Parents interested in being on the Baseball Manager Hiring Committee should make plans to attend a meeting on Tuesday, September 14th at 3:45pm in room 103. Interviews will be conducted at 4:00pm 5:00pm and 6:00pm. For more information, contact Athletic Director, Erik Dehaven.

Moms In Touch Prayer Group | |

Moms-In-Touch Prayer Group is now meeting on Thursdays from Noon to 1pm, in room 201. The first room on the left as you come up the main stairs.
Bag your lunch and unbag your burdens as we look to God's Word and lift up our prayers before the Lord on behalf of LHN.
