Breast Cancer Awareness Football Game | | |
 LHN Lions vs.
Westbury Christian
October 1st

Students, athletes, teachers, parents and alumni of Lutheran High North will be hosting a breast cancer awareness event and fundraiser on Friday, October 1st at 7pm at Richter Stadium during the game against Westbury Christian. The event titled "Fight Against Breast Cancer Football Game" is designed to create awareness of the fight against breast cancer while also raising funds to support breast cancer research. All proceeds from the event will be donated to M.D. Anderson to support breast cancer research.
Support the cause by purchasing a
T-shirt for $5.00 while supplies last!
(Students may wear their T-shirts on Friday but they must be worn with Parker pants, shorts, or skirts)
Come early to the game for the TAILGATE PARTY and get your chopped beef sandwich plate for only $5.00! |

College Corner | | |
Junior Parent Meeting next week Wednesday, October 6th at 6:30 in the LHN courtyard. Mrs. Lynn Eickemeyer, academic dean and Mrs. Mary Heath, college adviser will be available to answer questions about the college admissions process. Please mark your calendars.
ALL PARENTS - On Wednesday, October 6th at 7:15 in room 108 there will be an informational FINANCE 101 meeting presented by two financial planners. You will have the option to schedule individual meetings with these individuals (FREE of charge) to help you organize your finances, fill out the required FAFSA form and sort out your options for paying for college.
All junior and senior students will be attending a COLLEGE FAIR
at Concordia High School in Tomball on Thursday, October 14th. On that school day, students will be allowed to wear appropriate professional attire suitable for a job interview. Please dress modestly and in good taste. School uniform is required if you choose not to dress "up". All freshmen and sophomore students will attend a COLLEGE FAIR on Thursday, November 4th at Lutheran South Academy.
JUNIORS - The PSAT test administration is on Wednesday, October 13that LHN. Please get prepared to do your best by using various online or study guide resources available to you at www.collegeboard.com. Universities across the country have access to the test results and will be contacting YOU when you score well on this test. |

**Copies of the letters awarding scholarships, their amounts and conditions should also been given to Mrs. Heath for your file. These amounts are documented and the total amount of the class as a group is published in the senior profile book distributed at graduation. |

Project Pride Shirts are IN! | |  Project Pride shirts are now in and will be available for pick up beginning Monday during lunch periods. A few extra shirts were ordered so if you didn't place your order in advance you can still pick one up on a first come, first serve basis. |

"Let it Ride" Casino Night Meeting | | |
LHN's Annual Fundraising Event will be held on November 13th, 2010
The theme for the evening will be
"Let it Ride-LHN Casino Night"!
This event will be an evening of fun, Vegas style action. Proceeds from this event will go towards purchasing a new bus for the school.

The LHN Cross Country Team is participating in The Race for The Cure on Saturday, October 2nd at Sam Houston Park in kicking off cancer awareness month. All are welcome to join us!
