according to a study just published in the International Business
Review. The same study ranks the School of Business No. 20 in the
world for international research, ahead of such elite institutions as

Students behind new services in the health care industry took the top
prizes in the annual University of Miami Business Plan Competition,
sponsored by the School of Business Administration. From the 70 proposals submitted last fall, 24 were selected to present and 14 awards were given based on their presentations to the nearly two dozen successful entrepreneurs and venture capitalists from

A number of undergraduate and MBA students from
the School of Business had the opportunity to participate in the third annual Clinton Global Initiative University (CGI U) hosted
by former President Bill Clinton April 16-18, 2010, at the University of Miami.
The event, which drew approximately 1,500 college students, university
officials and representatives from youth organizations from all parts of the
world, focused on global challenges in education, environment and climate

Porfirio "Pepe" Lobo, who earned his bachelor of business administration degree from the School of Business Administration in 1970, was back in Miami April 26 and 27 - this time as the president of Honduras. Twelve real estate industry leaders have been appointed to the School's new Real Estate Programs Advisory Board. The Board, made up of prominent real estate industry leaders from South Florida and across the

impact of health care reform legislation on those who cannot buy health
insurance because of preexisting medical conditions, Steven
Ullmann, the School's director of programs in health sector
management and policy noted that although there will be subsidies for

featured research by Department of Marketing Chair Michael
Tsiros, which finds that retailers can increase revenues and
profits if they gradually increase prices of products discounted for a
