Genealogy geneticists that study the ancestors of the human Y-chromosome have a theory that traces back all humanity to a common male ancestor in Africa that lived 60,000 years ago, whom they call Adam. As time passes by, Adam's descendants proceed to leave the African continent and spread to the Middle East, South Asia, Australia, Europe, North East Asia and America. This theory appears to be flawed when we analyze the facts from three different points of view:
1) The Bible
2) World Cultures
3) Science
Theories have not been proven. According to the Webster's Dictionary:
"Theories are usually derived from a study of a number of facts relating to it, but sometimes entirely a result of exercising the speculative imagination."
So theories could be wrong...On the other hand "facts" are proven evidence of truth. Would you examine these facts with us and be the judge?
1) The Bible
In the first Book of the Bible, Genesis chapters 6-9, we are told that there was a flood that occurred over the earth a number of years ago. Was this flood a local event or a worldwide event?
The answer matters, because if it was a world wide event, then all the Y-chromosomes at that time would have been destroyed and only the Y-chromosome of Noah and his three sons would have survived...Then when we look at the "Y" Chromosome Phylogenetic Tree chart, we have to trace all living males back to Noah and not back to Adam.
Bible Evidence that Noah's Flood was a World Wide Event.
1) The Bible says so. (Angus Wootten)
Genesis 7:44, Seven days from now I will send rain on the earth for forty days and forty nights, and I will wipe from the face of the earth every living creature I have made." 2) Why offer a rainbow and promise that "no local flood" will ever be there again? There have been many local floods since then...
Genesis 9:11, I establish my covenant with you: Never again will all life be cut off by the waters of a flood; never again will there be a flood to destroy the earth. 3) If the Flood was local why the troubles to go built such a huge boat? Migrating into the mountains would have been far easier:
Genesis 6:14-16, 14 "Make yourself an ark of gopher wood; make rooms in the ark, and cover it inside and outside with pitch. 15 And this is how you shall make it: The length of the ark shall be three hundred cubits, its width fifty cubits, and its height thirty cubits. 16 You shall make a window for the ark, and you shall finish it to a cubit from above; and set the door of the ark in its side. You shall make it with lower, second, and third decks. 4) Why bring animals into the Ark, if it was a local flood then animals could just have gone to the top of the mountains? (Monty Stratton)
Genesis 6:19-21, 19 "And of every living thing of all flesh you shall bring two of every sort into the ark, to keep them alive with you; they shall be male and female. 20 Of the birds after their kind, of animals after their kind, and of every creeping thing of the earth after its kind, two of every kind will come to you to keep them alive. 21 And you shall take for yourself of all food that is eaten, and you shall gather it to yourself; and it shall be food for you and for them." 5) Rain only lasted 40 days and 40 nights, but water continued to rise up to 150 days. Can you imagine a flood rising for 5 months?
Genesis 7:12, And the rain was on the earth forty days and forty nights. Genesis 8:3, And the waters receded continually from the earth. At the end of the hundred and fifty days the waters decreased.
6) The Peaks of the mountains were not seen until eight months of flood. From the second month when it started until the tenth month = eight months. Genesis 8:5, And the waters decreased continually until the tenth month. In the tenth month, on the first day of the month, the tops of the mountains were seen. Genesis 7:11, In the six hundredth year of Noah's life, in the second month, the seventeenth day of the month, on that day all the fountains of the great deep were broken up, and the windows of heaven were opened. 7) Where did the water come from if after 40 days and 40 nights the rain stopped? For the waters continued to rise for 109 days more, until it reached its peak in 150 days. The answer is from the DEEP.
Genesis 7:11, In the six hundredth year of Noah's life, in the second month, the seventeenth day of the month, on that day all the fountains of the great deep were broken up, and the windows of heaven were opened. 8) Where is the Deep according to the Bible? In the deep of the earth, from the sea & oceans.
Isaiah 51:10, Are You not the One who dried up the sea, The waters of the great deep; That made the depths of the sea a road For the redeemed to cross over? Psalm 69:15, Let not the floodwater overflow me, Nor let the deep swallow me up; And let not the pit shut its mouth on me.
9) The Flood lasted about 1 year, not 40 days. 600 -601 = 1 year
Genesis 8:13, And it came to pass in the six hundred and first year, in the first month, the first day of the month that the waters were dried up from the earth; and Noah removed the covering of the ark and looked, and indeed the surface of the ground was dry. Genesis 7:11, In the six hundredth year of Noah's life, in the second month, the seventeenth day of the month, on that day all the fountains of the great deep were broken up, and the windows of heaven were opened.
10) Yeshua says in Mathew 24, as it was in Noah's flood ALL were taken away.
Matthew 24:39, and did not know until the flood came and took them all away, so also will the coming of the Son of Man be. 11) Peter corroborates that the ancient world was exterminated with the flood, only eight were saved, one of them Noah.
2 Peter 2:5, and did not spare the ancient world, but saved Noah, one of eight people, a preacher of righteousness, bringing in the flood on the world of the ungodly; 12) Paul agrees that the whole world was condemned and only Noah and his family were saved.
Hebrews 11:7, By faith Noah, being divinely warned of things not yet seen, moved with godly fear, prepared an ark for the saving of his household, by which he condemned the world and became heir of the righteousness which is according to faith. The Facts are that the Bible clearly says that the Flood was a world wide event. You may not believe that the Bible is true. But, it is the only book that has proven with evidence beyond a reasonable doubt that comes from a Divine source...You can find out its evidence by doing what the Creator has said to uncover if it is true...Check if it can predict what will happen in the future, if the Bible was able to foretell what has happened in the past.
Isaiah 41: 22 "Let them bring forth and show us what will happen; Let them show the former things, what they were, That we may consider them, And know the latter end of them; Or declare to us things to come. 23 Show the things that are to come hereafter, that we may know that you are gods; Looking forward to the next article "The Y-chromosome that survived the Flood, Part 2, where we will discuss the evidence from the World Cultures point of view. Part 3 will follow for the evidence we find in Science.
Blessings in the Love of Yeshua, Baruchot lach B'ahava shel Yeshua,
