 News updates to Zechariah's Vision and the Quartet are updated and posted online from time to time. Considering the "front page" prophetic implications of today's news regarding The Quartet's (the UN, EU, Russia and the US) Plan to divide Israel for "Peace," we want to call your attention to recent and important news updates.
Please read and consider Zachariah's Vision and "The Quartet" for the background to today's news events regarding The Quartet's involvement in the plan to separate Judea, Samaria and East Jerusalem on one side and Gaza on the other. This is disguised as a "Peace Agreement" for the division of Israel and the establishment of a Palestinian state.
Following are recent news updates:
April 3, 2011: New York Times columnist Ethan Bronner provided this comment yesterday... "JERUSALEM - With revolutionary fervor sweeping the Middle East, Israel is under mounting pressure to make a far-reaching offer to the Palestinians or face a United Nations vote welcoming the State of Palestine as a member whose territory includes all of the West Bank, Gaza and East Jerusalem.
The Palestinian Authority has been steadily building support for such a resolution in September, a move that could place Israel into a diplomatic vise. Israel would be occupying land belonging to a fellow United Nations member, land it has controlled and settled for more than four decades and some of which it expects to keep in any two-state solution."
He further states: "The Palestinian focus on September stems not only from the fact that the General Assembly holds its annual meeting then. It is also because Prime Minister Salam Fayyad announced in September 2009 that his government would be ready for independent statehood in two years and that Mr. Obama said last September that he expected the framework for an independent Palestinian state to be declared in a year."
Meanwhile, Fares Akram and Isabel Kershner write of a Passover plot of terrorism... "GAZA - Thousands of Palestinians attended the funerals on Saturday of three senior Hamas militants killed by Israel in an overnight airstrike in southern Gaza, and Hamas leaders warned that Israel would bear the consequences."
"The Israeli military said that the three militants were members of a Hamas terrorist squad planning to kidnap Israelis over the Passover holiday in Israel and in the resorts of the Egyptian Sinai."
Four days before Passover, the same day Messiah Yeshua entered Jerusalem... Next Middle East Quartet Meeting on April 15.
"MOSCOW, (Xinhua) -- Visiting leader of Palestinian National Authority Mahmoud Abbas on Wednesday said the next Middle East Quartet Meeting was scheduled on April 15, according to local reports."
As reported by Haaretz: European countries want UN, not U.S., to advance Mideast peace talks.
"Britain, France and Germany want the United Nations and the European Union to propose the outlines of a final settlement of the Israeli-Palestinian conflict that would lead to the establishment of a Palestinian state, UN diplomats said.
The three European countries, all members of the UN Security Council, are pressing for Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon and the European Union to propose a settlement text at a meeting in mid-April of the Quartet of Mideast mediators, the diplomats said, speaking on condition of anonymity because talks are taking place in private."
Well there you have it, prophecy staring you right in the face as the nations are uniting against Israel. According to statements made by Ban Ki-moon, Secretary-General of the UN... "target date fast approaching" as Britain, France and Germany officially ask the UN and the EU to lead and draft a new peace agreement to establish a Palestinian state and divide Jerusalem as the capital of both states. YNet News reports further that:
"The Palestinians insist they will not resume peace talks until Israel halts settlement building in the West Bank and east Jerusalem, lands captured in the Six Day War which the Palestinians want for their future state.
The US veto on Feb. 18 of a Security Council resolution that would have condemned "illegal" Israeli settlements and demanded an immediate halt to all settlement building spurred Britain, France and Germany, who supported the measure, to issue a joint statement expressing serious concern about the stalemate in the Middle East peace process.
Since the US efforts have been unsuccessful, diplomats said the three European powers decided to try a new approach in hopes of breaking the deadlock.
The diplomats said the three European countries have delivered the message in key capitals -including Washington and Jerusalem - that if the parameters of a final settlement are endorsed, the Palestinians will return to the negotiating table.
In their joint statement of Feb. 18, Britain, France and Germany said their goal "remains an agreement on final status issues and the welcoming of Palestine as a full member of the United Nations by September 2011."
In message delivered by his assistant at Uruguay conference Ban Ki-moon says occupation is morally and politically unsustainable and must therefore end. 'A way must be found for Jerusalem to emerge as a capital of two States'.
This is utterly amazing and beyond comprehension... Ban Ki-moon is in Uruguay while plutonium is leaking into the soil and Iodine-131 is pouring into the sea as Japan is desperately fighting a multi-nuclear meltdown, yet he is at a security council meeting on the civil war in Lybia telling the world that Israel's capital is to be divided with the Palestinians and that "arrangements for holy sites acceptable for all" will be established.
The Jerusalem Post goes on to report more on The Quartet actions: "If the Quartet feels obligated to propose outlines of a final Israeli-Palestinian settlement at the end of its upcoming meeting, it needs to take into account Israeli demands, not only Palestinian ones, government sources said this week amid speculation the Quartet may delineate how it sees a final settlement.
Britain, France and Germany have reportedly been urging the EU and the UN to propose a statement that would say that a future agreement would be based upon the 1967 lines "with agreed upon land swaps," and reach a "just fair and agreed solution to the refugee question." One of the key sticking points in relaunching Israeli-Palestinian negotiations has been the Palestinian insistence that the baseline for talks be a return to the 1967 lines, and Israel's position that those lines are not sacrosanct, and that what needed to be discussed were secure and defensible borders - something Israel says is not provided by the 1967 lines."
While Abbas calls for full Palestinian membership in the UN:
"The time has come for Palestine to become a permanent member of the United Nations, Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas said on Saturday, reiterating his opposition to the idea of a state with temporary borders.
He expressed hope that a Palestinian state on the 1967 lines would be declared by September and blamed Israel for the current stalemate in the peace process."
Many believe that Israel's response will be to react against this Quartet declaration and begin annexing portions of the West Bank settlements in opposition to the nations against her.
So what's up with September?
It is a very important time, just read you Bible... open God's word to study the teaching and instruction of the Day of Trumpets (Leviticus 23:23-25; Numbers 29:1-6 ). Rosh Hashana is observed on the first two days of the Hebrew month of Tishrei, the seventh month of the Hebrew calendar. It is to be a day of "remembrance of the blowing of the shofar", a Sabbath day of rest. This year it begins September 28th at sunset and lasts until sunset September 29, 2011. The following ten days are known as the "10 days of awe" before Judgment Day -- Yom Kippur, the day of remembrance, a set apart day of fasting and no work, a day all who worship The One God of Israel are to afflict (`anah) their souls (nefesh). Three days later begins the seven days of Tabernacles or Sukkot.
Pray for the Peace of Jerusalem, pray for the people of Japan, pray for God's hand . Humble yourself, open you heart, pray and cry toward heaven.
