Throughout 2014, God has been at work through Faith, Hope, and Love Global Ministries in some surprising and wonderful ways, along with some difficult and unexpected twists and turns. Even when we have not known what to think or do, God has shown us the way forward and continues to work in us in fruitful ways.

We have so much to celebrate. God has been using Faith, Hope, and Love to strengthen students, leaders, and other individuals in many ways once again this year, especially in Myanmar, Cambodia, and France. You will find links to photo albums at the bottom of this column, and links to our 2014 enewsletters to the left. Please rejoice with us!

Tim teaching New Testament Theology (Myanmar Institute of Theology)

There have been some significant changes this past year as well. In September, Jill felt led to transition off the Board and staff of Faith, Hope, and Love Global Ministries. (See "A Word from Jill" below.) Since Jill helped found Faith, Hope, and Love in 2008, she has been blessing students, co-workers, and program participants in many extraordinary ways. Please pray with us for God's continued guidance and blessing on her work and ministries as they develop in the months ahead.

In January, I will start phase 2 of my sabbatical, spending the next few months traveling and working on my new book, Spirit-Led Living. I am writing on the intricacies of listening to and cooperating with the leading of the Spirit from day to day. The Christian life is an adventure of learning how to integrate complete trust in God and taking responsibility for the decisions we must make. My ultimate goal in writing this book is to help Christians learn how to flow better with the Spirit, and to experience more of God's love, joy, and peace in the process.

Thank you for your continued interest in developing pastors and other Christian leaders globally. Thank you for your love and support of us as well. May God fill you with a renewed sense of wonder and joy this Christmas season, and bless you for all you do for Christ and his kingdom.

Serving Christ with you,

Tim Geoffrion

President and Teaching Minister

"What you have heard from me through many witnesses entrust to faithful people who will be able to teach others as well."

-2 Timothy 2:2, NRSV

A Word from Jill

It has been my great joy and privilege to minister on the staff of Faith, Hope and Love Global Ministries these past seven years. When I recall the many beautiful ways that God's presence has been so evident loving, healing and calling those we have served into deeper encounters and expressions of faith, I am overwhelmed with gratitude. Like the disciples who experienced God's presence at the transfiguration, I recognize a longing to stay close to the amazing light of God in the context I have known it during these years of inspiring, encouraging and teaching. At the same time, I also honor the truth that I teach those who want to pray the labyrinth--that the journey of following God's leading in our lives is not predictable, and that what is needed above all is to stay on the path, trusting that Christ's unseen presence is not only accompanying us, but also guiding us. Thus, after a long period of discernment I have submitted my resignation to Faith, Hope and Love Global Ministries.

After four years of allowing my body-self to adjust to the effects of the embolism I experienced in 2010, my health has returned. Thanks be to God! At 56, with 30 years of ordained ministry informing me, I have been praying with the question, "Christ, how can I serve You best now? Is there something for me to do with the time that I have left that can more fully use all of who you created me to be?" I am taking this year as a sabbatical time to reflect, pray, and explore these important questions, inviting trusted friends and mentors to discern God's leading with me.

I would like to thank each of you who is reading these words for the many ways your interest and care supported me in my ministries with Faith, Hope and Love. My heart is full of the warmth of deep contentment as I remember how we have sought God's will together, and how we have experienced Christ in each other's presence. May God continue to grow each seed of faith, hope, and love that has been planted in our lives and the lives of all we have served, Jill
