Check out what our Students are up to in class...
 Miss Gamache's students completed a project in which they were asked to research and build a working trebuchet. They were given restrictions on size and expected to ensure it launches forward. On October 15th, the students went out to the football field to launch baseballs. It was a fun period for many as they were able to see each others projects. Once the launches were complete (they completed 3), they were expected to write out a quadratic equation to represent the height of the projectile at any given time as well as find the vertical velocity and horizontal velocity. They presented their findings to the class with the use of either a powerpoint or video and related the project to the Formation Themes. Overall it was a great experience.
In Mrs. Montgomery-Roa's Business Leader's class, students building businesses from scratch across 7 popular industries, including restaurant/hospitality, non-profit, private security, eco-tourism, mobile gaming, sports marketing/advertising, and transportation. The class is doing an extended semester project where different groups build a business plan to understand the changing business environment and the life of the entrepreneur.
For her AP/CP Computer Science classes, we started off the semester with doing some labs that allowed us to dissect a computer. The students gained an understanding of "computer anatomy" and the process of translating commands with software that directly effect hardware.

Bacon Mania!

 Bacon Mania...It's Becoming A Servite Tradition!
The Bacon Mania Gourmet Food Truck is coming to campus on Friday, November 9, at 2:35 pm. Gala Committee Members will be happily accepting donations at morning drop-offs on Tuesday, November 6th, Wednesday, November 7th, and Thursday, November 8th. In exchange for any donation worth $25 or more, students will receive a coupon for a FREE order of Piggy Fries or Bacon Mac 'n' Cheese Fries! Gift cards or any other donations are welcome. The truck will sell to everyone but coupon holders shall have priority. Bacon Mania will donate a portion of the proceeds back to Servite. To ease the process, donation forms are available on the Gala website (www.servitehs.org\gala). Mmmmm, can you smell that sizzling bacon?
