Once in a Lifetime Student Trip to Israel
June 18-30, 2013
Info Night this Tuesday, October 23rd at 6:30pm
in the Servite Library!
Five years ago, in the spring of 1998, Mr. Chris Weir and Mr. Joe Swoboda, along with twenty-five other Catholic High School teachers from the Los Angeles, Orange, and Fresno Dioceses, were hosted by the Los Angeles Jewish Federation to a two week trip to the Holy Land.
In return for the trip they were to teach a one week course to Servite students over the next four years. This course is called, "The Holy Land Democracy Project."
The goals of this program are to build awareness of Israel as the Christian Holy Land, and of Israel as both a homeland for Jews and a modern democracy. Catholic teachers throughout Los Angeles and Orange County participate in the program.
Rosary High School has had several teachers also participate in the Holy Land Democracy Project. We are delighted both to be working with Rosary Theology Teacher Mrs. Maureen Tunstill and that Rosary's Principal, Annette Zaleski, will accompany us!
After Chris and Joe finished their fourth year of teaching the HLDP, they knew the next step was to take students to the Holy Land.
Parents/Students: To learn more about this amazing opportunity for your son please join us for an Information Night on Tuesday, October 23rd at 6:30pm in the Servite Library!
If you would like more information about the trip before the info night please contact Mr. Joe Swoboda at jswoboda@servitehs.org or Mr. Chris Weir at cweir@servitehs.org.

A Christmas Carol...
Save the Dates - December 6-9
God Bless Us, One and All!
Please join us December 6 - 9, 2012 for Credo Arts' 3rd Annual Presentation of A Christmas Carol. Don't miss the unforgettable Mr. Scrooge, otherwise known as Mr. Toner, as he transform from a penny-pinching old miser to a benevolent, kind-hearted English gentleman. The cast also includes members of the Servite, Rosary and Connelly faculty/staff, alumni and children from our local parish schools.
The generosity and spirit of giving that comes from both participants in the production and audiences alike has been tremendous and we invite you to be a part of this wonderful experience! Please visit our website at www.credoarts.org find more information about the show and tickets.
To become a part of Credo Arts and A Christmas Carol, please contact Robby Robertson at rrobertson@servitehs.org or (714)774-7575 ext. 1136. We would appreciate any help you could give us, whether financial or by volunteering. |

Fan Gear Store & Trinity Corp
Enfuso Oil
The Trinity Corp group concluded a very successful product launch at the Fashion Show last weekend. From creation, to marketing, to online shopping to the Gift Boutique at the Fashion Show, the Executive team participated in a once in a lifetime opportunity. The Enfuso oil and vinegar program, bottled and labeled expressly for Servite, was a key anchor for the Campus Store at the Boutique. The Trinity team was responsible for selling, demonstrating and managing a product that we are very proud to offer. Ann Yee, co-owner of the company provided extensive training support and the end result was a knowledgeable staff that can move forward to other tasting events later in the season. Congratulations Enfuso and Trinity Corporation!
Come see all the new gift ideas we have in store. Ideas for alums, students, staff and families are everywhere! Pillows, flags, gift baskets of oil and vinegar, specialty books, Christmas ornaments and yard signs. Go Friars!
Great news! Starting Monday, October 22nd we will now offer credit card service in the Fresh Kitchen and the Field Snack Bars. This is a major convenience announcement meant to be shared with all Servite students, staff and faculty. There will be a $3 minimum and a picture ID must also be presented for purchase. We will continue to offer the meal card option through the student and staff ID cards but we are happy to offer this option as well. Check with us daily for all of the improvements to the Fresh Grill. We are now offering freshly grilled onions and are developing a freshly grilled vegetable sandwich at all services. Yum!
