March with Alpen Schatz
Every year Alpen Schatz fans travelling from far and wide, don their Lederhosen and Dirndl's, dress up their furry four legged companions and break out the kegs and wagons to march with Alpen Schatz in Telluride, Colorado's quintessential old fashioned 4th of July Independence Day Parade.
This will mark our 11th Year anniversary marching in the parade so we hope you can join us!
This year, the 4th falls on a Saturday, making it a perfect long weekend - and what better place to spend a holiday, than in breathtaking, Telluride, Colorado!
We invite all those with an interest in Alpine culture and/or who have a pup sporting an Alpen Schatz cowbell, collar, harness or leash to march with us in this exciting event.
We meet at Alpen Schatz between 9 and 10:45am where we will be serving breakfast snacks and beverages and getting dolled up in Alpen Schatz Attire (optional but encouraged ).
The parade begins at 11am and we will finish back at the shop where we can watch the rest of the parade.
Following the parade, there is a fantastic BBQ in the Town Park, complete with four-legged races and other old-fashioned games. Then, in the evening, the most amazing Fireworks you have probably ever seen...known as some of the best and longest lasting in the Nation!
Be sure to bring: sunscreen and things to cool down the pups before we march such as water mister, umbrella for shade, drinking water and bowls. Feel free to EMAIL us with any questions you may have!
