Gorgeous Eighteenth-Century French Armoire for Sale
Alpen Schatz Antique Treasures
Alpen Schatz has come across a rare Louis XV solid oak armoire which was purchased by its current owner at an antique show in Arles, France in 1989. It resided in France for five years until it made its way to America in 1994. At that time it was lovingly restored by Sotheby's and given an estimated value of $6,500 (and an insurance for estimated value of $10,000). The Sotheby's certificate is included.
Its home has been in Colorado for over a decade and now it is time to find this treasure a new home.

Its interior is fitted both with shelving and a rod. This Louis XV Armoire is a rare find and a stunning piece with two doors characterized by hand sculpted moldings, a top piece in the form of a garland of branches and a base embellished with the iconic scallop shell.
This is a must-have for lovers of beautifully crafted furnishings. The Armoire is in excellent condition with the exception of a small break in the cornice piece which may be easily repaired. Documentation, additional photos, exact measurements and packing and shipping estimates (from Telluride, Colorado) can be provided upon demand.
