| AZ Senior Stroke Play | | |
TVGC is proud to announce that we will be hosting the 2013 AZ Men's Senior Stroke Play Championship on May 13-14. The event will be played on the Peaks course both days.
There are 108 spots available to compete in this event. We encourage you to sign up on AZgolf.org. Spots will go fast so sign up now. Stay tuned for more information on the event and how you might be able to particiapte apart from golfing.

Greetings!
The Board has launched a new promotion of "free dues through October 31st" for NEW MEMBERSHIPS sold by the club. If you know someone that is considering TVGC membership, make certain that they talk to Gary Loving to learn about it. He has already converted two temporary members and added another new member under this promotion.
If you have logged in to the Tonto Verde Golf Club side of the Tonto Verde website you may have noticed a change in the left side menu. That is a work in progress that should be completed by Monday March 18th. The changes will provide more straight forward access to all of the workings of TVGC. All Board and Committee information and minutes will be found here along with forms, bylaws and rules and regulations.
As a part of the March 6th MGA monthly meeting and golf each group filled all of the divots on their starting hole, beginning at the green and working back to the tee. The maintenance staff provided 5 gallon orange buckets full of sand. This is a nice reminder to fill your divots and if there is another close by, fill that one also.

$50 Guest Fees on Mondays & Wednesdays
Now through May 15th, member's guest fees will be $50 plus tax all day on Mondays and Wednesdays! The fee can be paid by the member or guest. *The guest(s) must be playing with a member.

| Important Meeting Date | |
The Annual Tonto Verde Golf Club Town Hall meeting will be held in the Rio Church on April 5 at 4:00 pm.
The TVGC Annual Meeting will be 8 am on April 10th in the Multipurpose Room for the sole purpose of counting ballots for the election of the 3 new directors and announcing the results. No other business will be transacted during this meeting.

From The Membership Committee

Ken Holec has accepted the Chair of the Membership Committee. This committee was re-formed under an expanded charter last fall and began meeting in early November under the leadership of Marianne Cooper, acting Chair as well as Board Liaison. Ken joins Kris Amborn, Bob Buhler, Jerri Dann, Deb MacLeod, Sabra Otteson and Jeff Ostlund (ex-officio) on the committee. Their current focus is growing our membership through retention as well as new member development and as such will be making recommendations to the Board at their next meeting April 4th in addition to the current "free dues through October 31st" approved this month.
Ken and his wife Beth just joined the club in December of 2011. Ken ran 3 successful high growth software companies in his professional career. He is an avid golfer and although only here a short time we've already put him to work. In his first year he has been serving as the Chair of the Couple's Golf Committee and as a member the newly re-formed Tonto Verde Marketing Committee. Ken will be a tremendous asset to TVGC in this new role, and will also continue as a member of the Marketing Committee, which marries two key functions critical to the success of this community.

- INTERCLUB TEAMS: If you are interested in playing on the Tonto Verde Women's interclub league next year remember to sign up prior to March 31st on ForeTees
- MARCH 26 LUNCH MEETING: Our regular Tuesday play is moving to the morning and will be followed by the last WGA Meeting of the season with Lunch. This is an important meeting where you all have the opportunity to sign up for the WGA board and committees for next year. Kathie Sankey and the current board will talk about what the positions entail and answer any questions. Mary Bloom and Susan Warzecka will speak about the One Community vision the HOA and GC boards are working towards. Scott Thiss will also describe other volunteer opportunities within our golf community.
- DESERT VISTA CHALLANGE -April 9 at the Golf Club Scottsdale. Watch for sign- ups on ForeTees.
- HOLE IN ONE CONGRATULATIONS to Julie Varda who aced the third hole of the Peaks on February 22 - 141 yards with a Knock-Down Driver. Also to Marj Dietrich who holed out her 7 iron, 107 yards on March 2 on the seventh hole of the Ranch. Well done ladies!

- Sign up now for our April 3rd monthly Golf & Breakfast Meeting. Please do it now so that our staff has ample time to prepare for the event. We will begin at 8AM with breakfast and a short business meeting, followed by our shotgun golf event around 9:30AM. Please use ForeTees "Golf Events tab" at the top to sign up. Do not use tonto verde.org. for Golf & Dinner. "Dinner Only" reservations can be made on the TVA website using the "Event Calendar".
- When signing up for the April 3rd meeting and breakfast you can also signup to qualify for the Interclub team for the April 8th match at Stonecreek. Use ForeTees when you sign up for April 3rd golf. Those that qualify will be called and posted on our website "MGA" tab (under the picture), Interclub in dropdown box and click on Interclub 4.8.13.
- MGA Cup standings are posted. The update can be found on ForeTees/MGA/Special Events/MGA Cup. Many more points to be earned by playing in our remaining MGA events.
- Be sure to save the date of April 24th for our closing Golf and Awards Dinner. Registration opens on April 1st.

A record number of NDA members were treated to a glorious guest day Par Tee on the Peaks chaired by Jeannie Pitluck and Diane Kirk, March 12th.

- April 2 - mini Clinic before the 9 am shotgun -Fairway Bunkers
- April 16th - NDA 9 am Shotgun and Closing Luncheon - Election of Officers for 2013-14.

Come enjoy 9 holes of couples golf - "We Promise Warm Weather!!"
March 15, 22 and 29 - all at 3:00.
We have 4 new games this year -- "Odd Ball", "Sandbagger", "No Alibis", and "String Scramble".
Golf $10 a couple. Dinner in the clubhouse off the menu after golf.
Don't forget, the Mixed Member/Member, which was scheduled for Jan. 27, has been rescheduled for March 24. New pairings will be made. Signup is now open on ForeTees - sign up soon as this event fills quickly!

| Love Those White Carts | |
Things are really picking up in the Peak of the season, and we've been successful in attracting considerable outside play. This is important to all of us as we have budgeted $600,000 in revenue for this fiscal year from outside play. This revenue helps offset each of our members cost of dues by over $1600 per year. Also, outside play is an important opportunity for visitors to learn about and appreciate our wonderful community.
When you see a group on the course in our white carts, please extend them a warm welcome and every courtesy as they may be a neighbor's guest or family, or soon to be another member here! If you have the opportunity, let them know why you are in Tonto Verde and joined our club. This may be just the encouragement they need to look harder at our community decide to join TVGC.
