Third Sunday in Lent Almighty God, you know that we have no power in ourselves to help ourselves: Keep us both outwardly in our bodies and inwardly in our souls, that we may be defended from all adversities which may happen to the body, and from all evil thoughts which may assault and hurt the soul; through Jesus Christ our Lord, who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one God, for ever and ever. Amen. - Book of Common Prayer p. 218 |

VOTE TODAY!!! Friday, March 1!!!
Father Damien vs. Frances Perkins
LeNt MaDnESsS has officially hit!!! So far, this year's selection of saints is once again proving to be a great learning experience! From the results, it would appear that voters are heavy into martydom, with lots of runaway victories and a couple of close calls!
Now into its third week, Hawai'i's own Father Damien is up against Frances Perkins. Can Hawai'i voters rally behind Father Damien as they did for Queen Emma? Time will tell, but don't forget to VOTE TODAY and spread the word! Remember, VOTE ONLY ONCE!
For those who are still (how can this be?) unfamiliar with Lent Madness, visit their website HERE...AND DON'T FORGET TO VOTE!

2013 Tax Guide now available
As part of the Church Pension Fund's efforts to be wise stewards of our financial and natural resources, we are again providing the 2013 Tax Guide for Episcopal Ministers (For 2012 Tax Returns) online in a downloadable, searchable PDF file.
The PDF file has been posted on the Church Pension Group website HERE. Your accountant or tax advisor can access this publication here, too.

However, if you prefer to have a printed copy go to the website and follow the prompts. If you have any questions, please contact Client Engagement at (866) 802-6333.

Presiding Bishop on Good Friday Offering
for Jerusalem and Middle East
"In spite of the challenges, the strength and vitality of the witness of indigenous Christians throughout the Middle East is inspiring," Presiding Bishop Katharine Jefferts Schori writes in the annual Good Friday letter to all congregations asking them to consider assistance for Jerusalem and the Middle East.
"The Good Friday Offering provides essential funding to strengthen the visibility of the Christian presence throughout the Province of Jerusalem and the Middle East," the Presiding Bishop writes. "That funding is critical to the ongoing ministry of both institutions, as well as others in the region."
Funds collected from the Good Friday Offering are gathered and distributed to the Province of Jerusalem and the Middle East which includes the Dioceses of Jerusalem and Cyprus and the Gulf, all members of the Anglican Communion.
Information and resources for the Good Friday Offering are available HERE.
