Prayer

Second Sunday after the Epiphany

Almighty God, whose Son our Savior Jesus Christ is the light of the world: Grant that your people, illuminated by your Word and Sacraments, may shine with the radiance of Christ's glory, that he may be known, worshipped, and obeyed to the ends of the earth; through Jesus Christ our Lord, who with you and the Holy Spirit lives and reigns, one God, now and for ever. Amen.

2013 Christian Unity
The public is invited to attend a special worship service in observance of the Week of Prayer for Christian Unity, on Thursday, January 24, 2013, at 6:30 pm, at the Cathedral of Our Lady of Peace in Honolulu. The Honolulu Council of Churches Fund Board along with major Christian denominations held the first service in 2008, and it has since become a tradition.  Each year, one denomination hosts the location and another provides the preacher.  Representatives from other denominations participate in readings and many clergy vest.  This year, the host is Roman Catholic and the preacher is the Rev. Jeff Lilley of The Lutheran Church of Honolulu.
