The big story from the Republican National Convention last night here in Cleveland was Senator Ted Cruz's speech. Despite the fact that Cruz had not endorsed Trump, the GOP victor extended an invitation for Cruz, who came in second in the delegate count, to give a speech in prime time. Everyone in the hall wondered whether Cruz would endorse Trump.

Some delegates thought Ted Cruz was gutsy in not endorsing Donald Trump directly for president.  Others thought he was a chicken.  Listen to a soundbite from Newt Gingrich below in which he interpreted Cruz's remarks to be an endorsement for Trump.

Upset that Cruz wouldn't endorse her father, Ivanka Trump, who is usually cool as a cucumber, contorted her face and jabbed her fore finger accusingly at the Texas Senator following his controversial speech.  Listen to my radio commentary below.

Ivanka expressed her concern to her father.  In an attempt to steal some of Cruz' thunder, Trump made a surprise entrance into the arena at the very end of Cruz's speech.
