25-year-old Micah Xavier Johnson, a black Army veteran upset about recent fatal shootings by police of unarmed black citizens in Louisiana and Minnesota last week, opened fire last Thursday night in Dallas in an attack on police officers who were ironically protecting the protestors in a Black Lives Matter demonstration.
Before the police department detonated a bomb that blew him up following a stand-off that lasted for several hours, Johnson had killed five police officers and wounded another seven in blue as well as two civilians.
