Welcome to our May, 2011 e-newsletter designed to keep you up to date on what's happening in Vallarta and at Banderas Bay's favorite new restaurant... No Way José!  We love hearing directly from you so let us know what you want to see here each month.

Banderas Bay restaurants join forces in May to bring you a culinary extravaganza, hosting the popular Restaurant Week.  This year, we are first time participants!  If you are in town May 15-31, come check out our special menu.  See the story below for more details.

SPECIAL NOTE:  We will be closed June 15 - July 4 to put the finishing touches on the Terrace and maybe go fishing for a couple of days.  Look for us to re-open on Tuesday, July 5!

 Restaurant Week logo

Following the trend of other influential fine dining centers worldwide, Vallarta Lifestyles proudly hosts the renowned culinary event known as Restaurant Week. Established in 2005, this 17-day festival is held every year from May 15 - 31 and includes many of Puerto Vallarta's most coveted restaurants and this year, we are participating! Participating establishments offer innovative three-course menus, with three options available for each course. Since the prices are often discounted by up to 50% (tips and beverages not included), dining out during this time period is not only more fun, but also much more affordable. Both Vallartenses and gourmet aficionados from around the globe eagerly anticipate the festival.  Some friends plan an annual pilgrimage to Puerto Vallarta specifically for this delicious festival. We offer our 3-course meal for only $189 Pesos.  If you are in town, make sure to stop by and check out our delicious offerings!

 

Here's our yummy Restaurant Week offerings...

 

Appetizers & Salads:

1.      Chilito Lindo - ceviche stuffed chile guero on a bed of passion fruit sauce decorated with pomegranate seeds.

2.      Sabor a Mi - Arugula, beets, toasted pine nuts, slices of mandarin orange in a citrus dressing

3.      Creamy Leek and Potato Soup

 

Main Courses:

1.      Vallarta Mahi Mahi - in a creamy chile poblano sauce and toasted almond crust

2.      Chicken Osso Bucco - Roasted chicken leg served in a chicken consommé  with roasted corn kernels and scalloped vegetables

3.      The Healthy Bean - Pinto bean empanada filled with cheese and marinated vegetables

 

Desserts:

1.      Creamy chocolate cake

2.      Lemon Love

3.      Flan

This month's featured dish...
 

Healthy BeanFor our veggie-loving friends, we are featuring a yummy Healthy Bean Empanada as one of the main courses for Restaurant Week.  This delicious empanada stuffed with pinto beans, cheese and marinated vegetables sits on a bed of our famous molé poblano.  As your mama said...  "eat your veggies." Well, now you'll want to!

We have you covered...

Now you can enjoy your favorite meal on the terrace at your home in Vallarta during the rainy season!  We are proud to unveil the new canopy on our upper terrace! 

Covering half of the tables upstairs, the open and airy canopy will allow guests the chance to enjoy our upper terrace year-round without having to worry about the weather.  And, no worries, we have large fans to make sure you stay comfortable!  Come stop by for a peek then next time you are in the neighborhood.  Canopy
