An attorney who presented evidence to a Georgia judge last week on Barack Obama's eligibility for the state's 2012 presidential ballot believes she now has a right to demand to see his original Hawaii documents.

 

Obama last April released what he said was a copy of his original Hawaii birth documentation, but a number of imaging, document and computer experts contend it is a fraud.

CITE OBAMA WITH CONTEMPT, LAWYERS URGE

 

A Georgia resident contending Barack Obama is ineligible for the state's 2012 presidential election ballot is asking that a court cite him with contempt.

 

 

 

In a motion filed in the case pending before Georgia Administrative Law Judge Michael Malihi, attorney Van Irion, representing David P. Weldon, urged the court not to overlook the fact that Obama had been subpoenaed for last week's hearing. Obama's attorney, he pointed out, acknowledged the subpoena by asking that it be quashed. But when the judge refused his request, he but told a state elections official he would not participate.

President Barack Obama has been taking lumps from Republicans for years over his support for Wall Street and health care reform, but today at the National Prayer Breakfast he claimed support from on high to defend two of his most controversial legislative achievements.

In another indication of the difficulty President Obama's reelection campaign faces, only 36 percent of likely voters grade the administration's handling of the economy at good or excellent, according to a new Rasmussen poll.

 

 

 

In a national survey of 1,000 likely voters January 31-February 1, a whopping 62 percent grade the president at fair to poor, with poor collecting the largest number: 45 percent.

GALLUP STATE NUMBERS PREDICT HUGE OBAMA LOSS

Gallup released their annual state-by-state presidential approval numbers yesterday, and the results should have 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue very worried. If President Obama carries only those states where he had a net positive approval rating in 2011 (e.g. Michigan where he is up 48 percent to 44 percent), Obama would lose the 2012 election to the Republican nominee 323 electoral votes to 215.

The headline of the story, I'm gonna paraphrase, I don't remember it exactly: "Florida's Most Important Republican Primary Voter." It was a story about me, Florida's most important primary voter. 


And I said, "This is not gonna go down well with Trump. When Trump sees this, he's not gonna be happy with it. He's the most important Republican voter in Florida, even though he doesn't vote here." And now look what's happened. This is amazing. Last night, we get the news that Trump's gonna endorse, and who was it? First he was gonna endorse Newt, right? And then it's been changed, he's gonna endorse Romney. So the Romney bloggers have got virtually all over their blogs for Newt and how Newt and Trump and Herman Cain equally despise and embarrass women and have no respect for them. If Trump ends up endorsing Romney today, some of these pro-Romney bloggers are gonna have some explaining to do because they have launched on Newt, they've launched on Trump. They have lumped Trump in with the great womanizers in world history.

So how does Gingrich launch his rebound? Politico lists five paths to redemption.

1. Take out a Contract on Romney, beyond Contract for America

NEWT GINGRICH TO CHALLENGE FLORIDA PRIMARY

The Florida primary may not be over just yet because the Newt Gingrich campaign is gearing up to challenge the primary based on the Republican National Committee's rules, according to a Fox News report.


The RNC's rules state that no winner-take-all primary may be held before April 1 and Florida happens to be a winner-take-all state.

RON PAUL CAMPAIGN: NEWT MUST PAY MEDICAL BILLS AFTER ASSAULT

The Ron Paul campaign is demanding that Newt Gingrich pay the medical bills for Eddie Dillard, a Paul supporter whose foot was broken Tuesday after Gingrich staffers intentionally stomped on it.
Campaigning at a Florida polling place Tuesday, Gingrich was greeted by Dillard, who held his Paul sign as Gingrich supporters rallied around their candidate.

Gingrich staffers were not pleased with this and, according to a report by Yahoo! News' Chris Moody, encouraged one another to physically impede the flip-flop wearing Dillard.

One Gingrich security staffer stood in front of Dillard and, according to Moody, "lifted his heeled shoe over Dillard's bare foot and dug the back of it into his skin, twisting it side-to-side like he was stomping out a cigarette."

"Just block him!" said another Gingrich campaign aide. "Everyone step on his toes!"

DON'T LACE UP TO 'RACE FOR THE CURE' JUST YET

News broke Jan. 31 that the Susan G. Komen for the Cure foundation has severed ties with Planned Parenthood because of a pending Congressional investigation -- costing the nation's largest abortion provider Komen-generated grants worth more than a half-million dollars annually. Bestselling author Teresa Tomeo suggests that pro-lifers across the country take the news with a grain of salt -- for now.

KOMEN TO STOP FUNDING PLANNED PARENTHOOD, BUT...

Douglas R. Scott, Jr., president of Life Decisions International (LDI), a Planned Parenthood watchdog group, said that despite Komen's decision, the group will remain in the Dishonorable Mention section of The Boycott List. "Despite Komen's wonderful announcement, actual support of Planned Parenthood will not end for another 13 months or so."

Komen will honor commitments made to several Planned Parenthood affiliates prior to implementation of the new policy." He said it would be wrong to drop Komen from The Boycott List, only for the general public to see grants going to Planned Parenthood in the future. Still, Scott is elated and he looks forward to the day when the last donation is made to Planned Parenthood.
