Founded in 1975, the British Association for Canadian Studies
(BACS) is one of the member associations of the International Council
for Canadian Studies, of which it was a founder member in 1981.
BACS welcomes applications for membership
from anyone with an interest in the study of Canada. BACS aims to function as a forum
and meeting point for Canadian Studies in Britain. Its annual conference
combines a wide range of topics and distinguished speakers with an
informal and friendly atmosphere. In recent years the conference has
been held in Oxford, Cambridge and Durham. For more information about BACS go to our website.
