Book Night - August 9th, 2011
| |
Book Night does involve buying the student's textbooks but is also a registration process. The student will receive their schedule and a designated locker with a combination to "test" out.
There will be sign-ups for PTL, Athletic Booster Club, & Faculty Birthday Cakes, retreat information, and medical release forms to sign for ALL students. School files need to be checked and validated with the proper records for physicals (required for athletic participation) and the current, state required shots and immunizations. All the costs for fees (for labs, testing, college admissions and athletics), PE clothes, yearbooks and planners will be tabulated along with the cost of the required textbooks and workbooks.
You are asked to enter through the school lobby entrance where you will be directed through the registration process. There will be various stations set up to get all the information needed from the LHN families in one evening. Please plan on this process taking about one and a half hours. If you have more than one student attending LHN, you can come at the same time. Otherwise each class, starting with seniors, is assigned a time slot as follows:
5-5:45 pm SENIORS
5:45-6:30 pm JUNIORS
6:30-7 pm SOPHOMORES
7-8 pm FRESHMEN
|

Parker Uniforms
All Classes All Students - Please read
| |
If you have not already purchased your Parker uniforms for this year you may find yourself in a bit of a time crunch. Parker will do their best to outfit you with uniforms but they can only rely on what they have in stock to give you right away. THE SCHOOL EMBLEM MUST BE EMBROIDERED ON ALL YOUR SHIRTS beginning this school year.
Parker will fill orders for new shirts (with the school emblem) first although you must allow time for them to be sent to an off site monogram company. If you are submitting already worn shirts to Parker to be embroidered, they will be treated like special orders and require more time. Parker's policy is to fill orders for new uniform shirts w/embroidery first.
If you have Parker shirts that have not yet been dropped off at Parker to be embroidered, please call and talk to Mrs. Mary Heath, Dean of Discipline, about the best date to drop off your shirts with the least amount of wait time to get them back. Requests to be given a grace period to wear shirts without the school emblem must be submitted and approved by Mrs. Heath BEFORE school starts. Your cooperation with LHN policies is appreciated.

Come visit the NEW and IMPROVED Resource Center on Book Night!
|
Renovations began in June on the Resource Center. The room will be the centerpiece of improvements at Lutheran High North. The room will feature 10- iPad2 keyboard stations, an iPad2 help desk, big screen TV's and a student lounge area.
Be sure to stop by on Book Night (August 9th) and check out this great new addition to Lutheran High North!

School Supplies
| |
Because of the new iPad program, we anticipate fewer school supplies being needed this year. Although some additional supplies may be required such as protractors or spiral notebooks, you will have time to get them before they will be used in class:
All students should have:
3-ring binders (dividers if using one binder for multiple subjects)
notebook paper
black or blue pens
pencils & erasers
The following items may also be useful:
highlighters
flash drive
pen/pencil bag
PUT YOUR NAME ON ALL ITEMS!
