Rules:

• If you do not dress up, you must wear your homecoming t-shirts with jeans or school apparel.
• Skirt length regulations remain the same
• Nike shorts are allowed as long as they are not rolled up
• No midriff
• No tank tops or spaghetti straps
• No flip-flops

You will be judged by your creativity and connection to the theme of the day.  Official count of those who dressed up with take place first hour.

SENIOR DEADLINES and requests for information

There are deadlines quickly approaching for admissions into honors programs within colleges and universities, university scholarship opportunities and priority admissions. Official TRANSCRIPTS from both LHN and the universities or colleges you have received credits from need signed requests on file before they can be released and sent to the schools you are applying to. If you need a teacher and/or counselor recommendation or a university required form as parts of your admission package, please give advance notice of one week or more.  To get the best effort and service the individuals you are asking for help need to have adequate time to give you their best product.

*LHN is happy to announce all college acceptances. A special red sign is also placed on the student's locker. Please bring a copy of your acceptance letter and give to Mrs. Mary Heath for your file.

**Copies of the letters awarding scholarships, their amounts and conditions should also been given to Mrs. Heath for your file. These amounts are documented and the total amount of the class as a group is published in the senior profile book distributed at graduation.

Don't miss out on the "world's funniest show!" Period. "Gair-Un-Teed!" You will laugh...you will cry...(from laughing so hard!)  Find out if you can laugh at yourself and others too as the truth about how we often treat "foreigners" comes out.

  Adults:  $8.00  non-LHN students: $4.00  

  Children 12 and younger are free

LHN's Annual Fundraising Event will be held on November 13th, 2010

Each year, we ask parents to help us fill a great class basket which is put on the Live Auction at our annual fundraiser. This year we are doing a Casino Night to raise funds for new school bus!  The more cool and original items we have in the basket, the better! 

Freshman class basket is Entertainment

Sophomore class basket is Personal Fitness/Wellness

Junior class basket is Gourmet Chocolates & Coffee

Senior class basket is Off to College/Out of the House

Click on each of the wish lists for a more detailed listing of requested items. Please have your student bring their item to school and leave it with the front office with a note that it is for the class baskets. Checks or cash gifts are also welcome, and we can purchase an item to put in the basket. Please send your item as soon as possible so that we can get the baskets put together.

 HOMECOMING is right around the corner!

Mark your calendars for October 22nd!!

Prepaid $12.00 tickets are due by MONDAY the 18th!

 They will be $15.00 at the door

The meal includes 2 meats, buttered potatoes, green beans, cole slaw, drinks, and desserts.

Parents should have received tickets for the barbeque in the mail by now and the ticket deadline is October 18th. 

So don't delay get them now!

We would love to have all and any parents that would be interested in assisting us. 

We have some great plans for the year and would value your input!

The Lutheran High North Marching Band will compete in the Sam Houston State University Marching Band Festival on Saturday, October 30th.  The marching band would love to have the support of students and parents from Lutheran High North cheering them on in the stands.  The band will perform at 7:45 AM in Bowers Stadium on the campus of Sam Houston State University.  Bowers stadium will give you your best view this season of the Lutheran High North Marching Band.  Please come and cheer us on.
