AD CUSTOMIZATION
One of the Benefits of Being a Comfort Keepers® Franchisee

We are happy to provide free print ad customization to the Comfort Keepers® franchise community. We know this brings you great value and it also ensures the brand message is delivered consistently and in a uniform, quality manner. Because we are providing this service to hundreds of franchisees, it is important that all adhere to the two week lead time, especially during the holidays when many of you are "beefing up" your print advertising. Turnaround time is taking a full two weeks, and so we can ensure you receive your materials to meet your deadlines, please plan for the two week lead time.

For your convenience click here for the ad request guidelines. This guideline offers helpful hints and instructions for making sure ad materials are turned over correctly and can be executed within the required two weeks.

And don't forget, if you are creating any marketing materials in your office, you must send them to Terry Carity for review prior to publication. Please email your advertising to TerryCarity@Corp.ComfortKeepers.com.

FRIDAY FLASH COMMITTEE
Creating New and Better Communication Channels

The Marketing Department will be teaming up with a committee of franchisees to scope and redesign a new and improved Friday Flash. The committee will meet soon after the Thanksgiving holiday to start the process of scoping the project requirements based on the feedback provided through the franchisee survey and focus group, and researching the different product offerings to meet the "wish list."

It is exciting to be launching this new project and we will keep the franchisee community apprised of the committee's progress.

WE WELCOME YOUR INPUT ON CK BRAND!
Experience Better Organization and Improved Functionality

The newly redesigned CK Brand website is live and we hope you have had an opportunity to experience the new site!

Please view the short (6 minute) tutorial posted on the homepage of CK Brand for an overview of the navigational changes. We welcome your feedback and comments so we may continue to improve the site and your experience. Based on your feedback and questions, we may develop educational webinars to answer and clarify any questions that come up consistently. If the site is as intuitive as what we believe, the tutorial may be sufficient.

If you have questions or comments you would like to share, please send them to Joni Magnus-Ramsey at JoniMagnusRamsey@ComfortKeepers.com. Have fun exploring the new site!

FRANCHISEE AGREEMENT REVIEW COMMITTEE
Update

Dear Franchisees,

Many of you know that over 18 months ago, CKFI and a group of franchisees created a committee called the Franchise Agreement Review Committee (FARC). The committee was formed in the spirit of collaboration, franchisee and franchisor, to review the Franchise Agreement (FA). The composition of the committee included two (2) members of the NAC, two (2) franchisees from the system at-large, and two (2) members from CKFI.

This was a long process the committee undertook, and in September, the committee completed its work and we would like to share the outcomes with all Comfort Keepers® franchisees. Each franchisee will receive in the mail, via USPS, a letter from me with an overview of the changes to the FA. The implemented changes will be effective as of the filing of the FDD in November, 2013.

I would like to thank this committee for all of the hard work.

Jim Brown, VP of Franchise Development

PERFORMANCE MANAGEMENT GROUPS TAKE SAN DIEGO
It's All about Profitable, Sustainable, Growth

On November 6, Comfort Keepers® from all over the U.S. met in San Diego, CA for the 2013 PMG fall retreat. The purposes of the fall retreat was threefold - first, come together as leaders within the franchisee community to focus on one key objective - business growth. The 100 + franchisees in attendance represent 50% of the network revenue. Secondly - to benefit from the successes and best practices of other Comfort Keepers®. The sharing of ideas and best practices was phenomenal. And the last objective was to have some fun and build camaraderie among franchisees across the network. The fringe benefit - it was a lot of fun! Thanks to everyone who participated.

Next steps - CKFI is aggregating the tremendous input that transpired at the fall retreat and will be working to align priorities. For the meantime, enjoy the photos from the team building exercise - the scavenger hunt across San Diego that culminated in dinner at Café Sevilla in the Gas Lamp District.

If you are interested in in joining a PMG or PMGO group, please contact Keith Jardine at KeitherJardine@Corp.ComfortKeepers.com for discussion about the benefits of being a member of a Performance Management Group.

ACOS AND PLANS OF CARE: EVOLVING YOUR SERVICES TO IMPACT READMISSION RATES
This meeting is presented by David Simic, Vice President of Business Development

Thursday, December 5, 2013 11:00 am EST
(10:00 am CST, 9:00 am MTN, 8:00 am PST)

As ACOs continue to grow, they will be seeking partners to assist in the safe transition back to home for discharged patients. It is during this transitional stage when a client is most likely to experience an incident which will lead him/her back to the hospital. We'll discuss how you can position your business as a critical component of this continuum of health care and partner with the growing number of ACOs, especially as they transition patients managing CHF, heart attacks and/or pneumonia. In addition, we'll outline plans of care ranging from 4-hours to 21 days.
