Thank you to all of you who are submitting these outstanding phone calls. We are so impressed with the professionalism and the communication process your staff members are undertaking to uncover needs and get the home visit.
This week's winner is from the office of Stephanie Howe located in Hamilton Square, NJ. Stephanie's staff member, Sheila, did a fantastic job of building a relationship with the caller. A major win for this office was Sheila's ability to make the caller feel comfortable with the process of the in-home visit and the actual process for providing care. Sheila was able to gather very relevant information and schedule a home visit based on the requests of the caller.

Comforting Cards™ for the Holidays
Now in our 2nd year, we are happy to share the holiday outreach program, Comforting Cards™ for the Holidays. This program seeks to bridge the generational gap between children and seniors by having local public and private kindergarten classes create holiday cards to be distributed to seniors in the area. It can be adapted to any holiday especially the upcoming Thanksgiving and Christmas holidays!
Thank you to Comfort Keepers® Southeast Houston, TX franchise owner, Mike Painter, who created the concept. CKFI has created a set of materials to help you plan and implement this program. There is an event guide, letters to the principals and facilities, thank you messages, a press release, and a flyer to distribute throughout your community.

Experience Better Organization and Improved Functionality
Thank you to the franchisee pilot group that tested the new CK Brand site earlier this week. These franchisees took the time to review thoroughly the new site to ensure we are introducing a well-functioning product to the system. With this last bit of testing and franchisee input, we believe you will really enjoy the new site. The redesigned CK Brand reflects the new colors, fonts, and imagery, but as importantly, brings greater organization, functionality, and a better user experience for all of you!
The new site launches in November and we will have information in upcoming Friday Flashes about tutorials and training sessions to help you and your team navigate the new site.

How to Acquire Your User Name and Password
Many franchisees are interested in understanding consumer responses to the national advertising as well as their individual local marketing and advertising. There are two very important tools that you can access today to help you understand the consumer activity generated by advertising and marketing - Call Source Reporting and Google Analytics. The Call Source reporting documents the number of phone calls placed to your office(s) as a result of the national advertising. And, you have access to your office's recorded calls for review, coaching for improvement, or acknowledgement of a job well done.
Google Analytics provides a wealth of information regarding your website activity. You can pull data on the number of unique visitors to your pages, the number of pages viewed, and the amount of time a visitor spends reviewing your site - all of which are indicators of the "quality" of your visitors. The longer a user stays and the more pages a user views, the higher the "value" of that user. It can also tell you where on the Worldwide Web your visitors are coming from, i.e. Google, Yahoo, YellowPages.com, etc. This information is most helpful when you benchmark a period of advertising relative to a "typical" period. It is through trending and comparison that you can begin to understand the consumer activity that has been generated through local and national marketing and advertising. So before you make a determination about effectiveness, start with the basics and get your information.
